“The menu is very small, the size of the place is very small, the number of staff working is very small; but, the experience is enormous. The menu is small so they can focus on what they do best.Don't walk into this place expecting your vegan brother/sister in law is going to find a lot that appeals to them, you are there because you don't care about them. They can graze in the empty lot across the street. “Veranda is a quaint restaurant bar with plenty of outdoor seating in the summer. I would highly recommend their Happy Hour Surf and Turf. . It is a small filet and shrimp with asparagus and potatoes. The happy hour portion is perfect for me. If you are a big eater you can order two of them. At $14 apiece it is still a great value! The atmosphere is older adults and the inside is cozy. Outside, festive lights create a relaxed and carefree summer feeling. In the summer they have live bands outside and dancing. On occasion there may be an acoustic type singer inside creating a pleasant dining experience. There is plenty of free parking!I gave service lower rating only because the bartender is not very friendly. I have been there several times for happy hour and she rarely smiles and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. One time, when she waited on me she said “ You only have minutes to put your Happy Hour order in”. Maybe she is having a difficult time, but you think the phrase “ Happy Hour” might dictate being Happy!“
“Food was good. No real complaints on the food. Our waitress was fantastic! Some of the best service we've had in a long time, and she was busy walking everywhere, but still was very attentive without us even asking. The atmosphere was nice. If we lived closer, we'd be back often.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome even though it's a pub. They have a kids menu. There are tvs to watch, but don't expect it to be a chuck e cheese or anything.“
