She was very apologetic about the food, but was very adamant about making things right.This is a great place to eat on the weekend or a Friday or Saturday night type vibe. It has a full bar with plenty of places to sit and watch whatever game is on.About the food, it was ok for me. I had the nachos and the base of the meat had a very strong vinegar taste, which was overwhelming to me... Not to deter anyone else from them, but not my favorite.... “We arrived at 5pm on Thursday. The inside was nearly full; but the weather was nice and there is generous outside seating. We had the dry-rub wings as an appetizer. Very tasty. Then, as it was burger week, we all ordered their special burger. All agreed the best burger week burger thus far. Service was okay but maybe poorly trained; the waiter seemed often too distracted chatting with another waiter to notice when we needed something, though standing less than 10 feet away. Not terrible service by any means, just less than it should have been. Example, our table was wet from an earlier rain, and none of the staff seemed to notice or care, though they brought extra napkins and so we dried it. Not a problem really, but odd. Still, all-in-all an enjoyable dining experience, and we'll certainly return.Parking: A bit tight in the main lot.“

“This place is a gem! I'm glad I found one of my favorite places to get food and a drink. I had the hamburger which was simple and delicious. Had just the right seasoning and toppings. I also had to get a small order of the sesame noodles. Those noddles are a must. If I was bold enough I probably would have gone to the kitchen and shook the cook/ chef hand. The service was outstanding. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. I loved that the menu was small. I will definitely be going back to try some more of this simple and delicious food.“

“What a find. The Fretboard was outstanding. Great selection of beers. Appetizers were awesome. I recommend the Tostada's Carnitas. The mix of flavors and a bit of heat made it a favorite. We had the Cajun Chicken sandwich which was tasty and juicy, the Pub Burger which was stacked high and cooked well, and the Fish and Chips which is some of the best I've eaten. We had the brownie for dessert which was dense and chocolatey served with vanilla ice cream. We can't wait for a reason to go back to Hamilton to eat at The Fretboard.“

“First time here one new years starting off 2023. This is a cool place with a chill vibe and fun people with friendly personalities. The food was good and free and the drinks were tasty and a decent price. Definitely a place to check out it is low key and I love that even more“

“Great neighborhood bar. Used to be crazy wild. Owner seems to have a grip on that problem. Listened to the Sonny Moorman Group. Yes free excellent blues music. Beers are only 2.50 so very budget friendly. They don't serve food but someone or the owners usually have something to eat out. “Quaint little restaurant in the heart of Mt. lookout. Seating is limited and is first come first serve. If you are lucky enough to find a seat you seat yourself. Atmosphere is historic woodwork original hardwood floors, doors, tables and booths. A train runs around the top of room on a platform with hand painted murals on wall of the surrounding town. ZIP burgers were delicious as well as the fries were crisp and golden brown. Chili was a delicious addition on top of the fries. A must try. “Our waitress was upbeat, prompt, and attentive. The wings were really good, we were just not big fans of the meatball sandwich or prime rib sandwich. The menu said the meatballs were homemade, but they tasted like frozen store bought ones. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, I liked the barrel lights above the tables.“

The one TV in the back has sound that comes from the TV itself and doesn't have overhead or surrounding speakers. It's a little smaller as well compared to some places with bigger TVs.
