“If you have a drop top or roll on two wheels, odds are, you've found yourself cruising on Rt 65 accelerating through the rolling hills and curves. On this stretch, that follows the river, is a little town called Grapid Rapids. It's in this small historic city that you'll find the charming eatery of Knucklehead's Kafé standing at the end of the towns landscape next to the Old Firehouse with the Maumee River in its backyard. Stepping in, you will quickly feel that it pays homeage to a Southwestern style of art-deco and original brick structure with an array of antique history placed throughout its encompassing walls. My two favorite spots were the backroom that features a massive chandelier unlike anything I've ever seen and barn stall door, making it perfect for private parties. The other spot is two shelves loaded with countless albums from musicians of decades past. While scrolling through the music, this is when I met Dillion, the owner, who gave me insight on his coined Kafé.Okay, so let's talk about drinks and the food! Craft beer is on tap, AWESOME. If you want domestic stuff, they have it by way of bottles. I opted for a Scottish Ale and then a Double IPA by Earnest Brew. If wine is what you like, they have quite a few choices, but you won't find any liquor. As funny as it is, this margarita guy didn't even notice that till the end of our visit, so kudos to Knucklehead's!K2, as I'll refer to it, has a vast menu of signature gormet burgers and sandwiches, multiple varations of Mac n cheese and BBQ ribs that are on special one of the days. I should have taken a picture of the menu, but hey, hopefully, this will make you wanting to stop in! Upon wise advice, I went with Kunck's Mac n Cheese, adding chicken and selecting the homemade coleslaw. I'm not a slaw kinda guy, but this makes twice now that I've enjoyed it, and K2's version is absolutely on point! The Mac n Cheese melted in my mouth, and I enjoyed every bite to wanting to lick the bowl, but I didn't. Baked with old-school macaroni, it's a creamy white sauce made from multiple cheeses and hearty chunks of hand cut chicken that will certainly hit the spot. Now that I've had their house blend, I'm looking forward to trying their flavorful renditions of this popular dish. The girl who introduced me to this gem,one of her favorites, opted with The Popper Burger, slaw, and home cut seasoned fries. This gormet delight has a mixture of tastes that will entertain your pallette from the rasberry jam and cream cheese to the bacon and jalapeños. Would love to say more, but I only had a small portion to sample while I devoured my entree ?I (we) will most certainly be back, Bon Appétit!“
“Been coming here for years as it’s situated on the Main Street of a lovely small town. They are now the only full-service in town, and they make it work very well despite the challenges. Can always count on homestyle food, and I love the salad bar. Last went here on a Saturday night and the salad bar was fully stocked. My group had a wrap, the meatloaf dinner, a bowl of chili, and the salad bar. All hot and tasty and filling. We left with slices of pie to go, as homemade pies are one of their specialties. Recommend going for a walk on the path along the river behind.“
“Great food. Very busy but hard working to keep up good service. On our visit in January '24 the service was excellent and the food quality still very good but it seemed to me prices are up and maybe quantity was down. Salads are still a good value.“
“It was my first time here! The waitress was quick, attentive, and kind! Very clean. Small town community feel. Food was amazing too! Prices were great as well!I had "The Beast" burger, consisting of bison, wagu, wild boar, and elk meat.I'm not a huge fan of eating swine, but I had to try this, and it did not disappoint!Parking: Typical downtown street parking but if it is a busy day for the local businesses, there is a free small parking lot, a very short walking distance from the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menuToys and such to help keep restless kids entertained.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level with no steps.“
“1st visit and very impressed, spacious nice atmosphere, fast and great service from Kaytlin. Food was great and portions generous enough that we have another meal in the fridge to! We decided this is our new go to place. Nice menu and many choices, we think a brick oven pizza will be the next visits choice.“
“My spouse and I decided to try the new Taco Bell. We went in, stood at the counter, a few employees looked at us and never said a thing to us.After a few minuites of being ignored, we left.We were greated right away at PUB 64, placed our order, served and was checked on multiple times. It was TACO TUESDAY. For me, that was a nice surprise.Keep up the good work! I'll be back.“
“I was in a party of 10 and the service was amazing! 3 of us had prime rib, and it was just like the service. Amazing! If you are in the Toledo area you have to try this place.Kid-friendliness: Very generous portion size of a kids prime rib junior“
“Brent and Teresa are doing a great job! It has become a family campground now that they are managing the campground. Brent has already made lots of improvements. But if the rumor is true about the rent going up another $400.00 they will lose a lot of campers.Playground: Needs improvements. We put sand in the sand box last year and it is all gone.Restrooms: Very clean“
