“As a carnivore I went to a purely out of love for my cousin but left smitten! The experience was peaceful, beautiful and delicious! Tips for me was the wild mushrooms with sofrito rice. Definitely did not expect to see sofrito rice on a menu here! The brown butter hollandaise was perfection. For dessert the chocolate tart was everything one should be: a firm, deep and dark, blanket of chocolate that you can just wrap yourself up into with accompaniments I would have never considered: a Sauvignon Gris with caramel and porcini cocoa dust. Washed down with amaro nonini. The service was also amazing, and the vibe cozy and intimate.“
“I have returned from my hiatus to speak on behalf of parable (again). Pastries just wake me up like nothing else. I say that but every time I try to get to parable "early" (i.e., before 10am), I fail to do so ;'( But it's ok! These days there are still goodie pastries available for the sleepy birbs (hurrah) Unfortunately, my gastrointestinal system did not hunger at that hour of the morn, so the spinach artichoke danish was a bit of an underwhelming experience, even though the danish was freshly toasted ;'( I liked the chip though (cronch). Otherwise, it kind of gave artichoke dip but served in a pastry vessel instead of a plastic container. I enjoyed the honey grapefruit brûlée circle croissant and guava cream cheese pastelito more. Neither were too sweet and both had nice crispity crunchities! Service was very thoughtful as well! Whenever staff brought pastries to someone's table, they'd always ask if the person would like a fork and would then go run and grab one. I personally prefer to go feral on my food with my fingers but the gesture seemed very kind. Also, I'm pretty sure the entire album of The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was played. “This place has a very cool vibe, great place for a date. It kind of feels like you’re in a jazz prohibition club. The drink menu has fun cocktails, but if none are to your liking then the bartender can make anything at your request. They have a VERY limited food menu, although very good. I do recommend eating before the show. The seating is very limited so try to make reservations earlier than later. I came earlier than the show time due to parking and time of day, and they would not let me enter even though there were open seats and I had a reservation for the show in ten minutes. They also only have two restrooms in there so finding a time to go between the other patrons can get stressful. With me not being well versed in jazz, I just went a random night and was not too much of a fan of the artist. Even with the neat atmosphere, a mediocre performer can ruin the vibe. When I went a lot of people were talking as well and the staff did nothing about it so it was hard to hear the performer too. I would definitely go back and give it another try with another performer.Parking: Parking on the street if you can find it or garage several blocks over.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: I did not notice an elevator, but the venue is down a flight of stairs.“

“Ive been going to this place for a few years now and NOT ONCE have i been disappointed. The service is amazing, drinks are IMPECCABLE, and the environment is litterallly one of the coolest and well thought out ones i have ever experienced. The vibe is ALWAYS very relaxing and inviting... and from the minute you walk in, you ALWAYS are made to feel like family there. The owner is a great lady, very considerate and i have even had the pleasure of hearing her sing. This place is very outside the box in all the best ways and i would highly reccomend it. We have even done a few fundraisers here and the owner is great about helping out with planning and running them. Needless to say, i havent been this impressed with a place overall in YEARS! The service was fantastic and fast. The pizza was made freshly and quickly, but its price was a little high. “Our 1st visit. It was restaurant week. Took awhile to be waited on after we were seated - they were quite busy and most likely not expecting the demand. Our waiter (in-training)was excellent). We very much appreciated the chance to taste different options before buying a bottle. We settled on the apple brandy but we will be back for the bottled in bond and chamomile gin! The decor was such a great blend of natural and industrial elements. It gave the feeling of a gourmet restaurant and a relaxed intimate gathering space all at once. The only thing I would have changed was the volume of the music. “We went in for our anniversary dinner as we heard that their sushi is amazing. Its not the place to go, if you want to have a quiet dinner, with some romatic music but it is lively and happening. It has very nice view, as its name suggests. And the service is top class. Our waitress did a wonderful job in attending to our needs. They have happy hour Wednesday through Saturday from 7-9 pm which is fantastic for those who work later. Their offerings include: $4 beers, $8 wines by the glass, $8 classics. This bar is definitely a must try and would be perfect for date night if you want to feel a little fancy. They do not have a lot of food, but they do have a snacks menu. We tried the bread and spread as well as my favorite the potato croquettes. The bread and spread is roasted tomato + pita + labneh + za'ata. The amazing potato croquettes are potato + fontina + black truffle aioli. So yummy!!Well, definitely come back and love the fact that happy hour is later so I can go after work !“

All of them came with nice garnishing (except the smoked drink which was a great presentation and smoky but was missing the marshmallow) which was very fun, we all liked the drinks we ordered. Love the atmosphere, very fun and inviting. Service was fine, at happy hour there was only one person working and they did great but obviously it took awhile to get drinks when there is only one person working. Hopefully will be back sooner.“
