“Make no mistake...this is a dive bar. Tucked/hidden in a small strip mall on Hoover Rd. It is old, outdated, and could use a good clean...but its still cool! Old school juke box with crappy speakers seems strangely appropriate. They make great drinks, and are very reasonable, but if you want to get anything more complex than a Jack and Coke, be prepared to give instruction. Schiltz and PBR seemed to be the preferred drink of choice for this crowd, which basically consists of 3 types...the old/retired. They sit at the far end of the bar, know each other, are friendly, but quiet. Rednecks and "their" woman. Ball caps, lot of camo, well, okay....you get the picture. The last just sort a falls in the middle. Working class Grove-Tuckians, who just wanna wet their whistle for a bit. Oh, and cash only. No credit cards here, but they do sport an ATM. They dont serve food, which I think is a good thing, but on occasion, they will be a mystery crock pot in the back by the restrooms with chili or something...pass. But, their claim to fame is their Friday night Karaoke! Packed, this brings in all the locals who think they can sign, usually after a few doses of liquid courage, and some actually are, but most are not good...but still think they are. Ah, people watching at its best indeed!“
“I visited here from out of town, this was prepandemic and the bar was amazing. We had several people that were at the bar, and a few that walked up ro order. The bar was busy, but there was very little wait time, and the bartender was very accommodating.Would recommend this bar to anyone who enjoys a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I will be back when I am in the neighborhood.“
“Neighborhood pub with a cool clientele, laid back staff, live music, chill patio, and a killer craft beer selection! They do not serve food, but there's always a great and varied food truck schedule! Check it out!Parking: Street parking is pretty decent, but runs out fast!“
“The staff was awesome, the food was very good. We had the Memories Onion Soup and the Memory Burger, Wings, and steak sandwich. The only issue we had was that the onion soup was awfully salty, but everything else was great! We'll be going “
“This is a really great place to go they have karaoke. They have some wonderful singers and it is usually pretty full. If you enjoy doing karaoke but don't mind waiting in a 4-Hour sit, we sang twice. But you karaoke people know that if you find a good place, you're going to wait a long while to sing cuz everybody else knows it's a good place too.“
“Cheap drinks, great darts, and great people. One random tall guy kept claiming to be a "pool guy," but he wasn't very good despite carrying around a trophy. Also a Browns Backer bar, so if you enjoy being depressed come watch a game.“
“My bf and I like to go out and enjoy ourselves and have a good time with no drama or a rowdy crowd, so on a Saturday especially we had a good time.....our bartender was very pleasant as well as the other patrons. There for my rating was basically based on enjoying our personal time we had along with the other.“
“Zassy’s is the most beautiful bar I’ve ever been in -and quite possibly the friendliest! The atmosphere is beyond comparison - this is no hole in the wall dive bar! Lots of fun Wednesday nights for Trivia and Karaoke . It’s easy to miss Zassy’s : They don’t have signage -look for the vintage Bowling Alley sign . Definitely a date night kind of place - with a full menu and the food is delicious.“
“Great service and great atmosphere. Plenty of parking, public restrooms. Service was prompt, food came quickly, and order was correct. Pretzel bites and nachos were good as starters. Parmesan fries tasted great. I have to agree with several other reviews that the wings were overcooked and dry. The sauces tasted good but the chicken was just poor quality. I would visit again but would steer clear of the wings.Parking: Open parking lot for the entire shopping center. Plenty of handicap and regular parking spots.“
“It was a very busy happy hour, but even though a baby was crying, the inside was rocking with the ambiance of music and people talking loudly. The service was excellent, and the food was great. The only complaint I would have is the salsa and chips. The chips are out of a bag with heating lights to warm, and the salsa is just good. On the other hand, the queso is excellent, and the chicken fajitas are fantastic. I would recommend giving them a try if you haven't already.“
“I love Planks On Broadway! This place has been around forever. There is one on Parsons Ave., one on High St., but my favorite one is in Grove City! A great place to meet up with friends and hang out. Everyone is welcome...Come sit with us at the Community Table! Great food and Great drinks as well as Great prices! Try the Reuben, or come in on Tuesdays for 1/2 price Pizza!“
“Service is a little slow if you aren't a regular. But it's a pretty laid back place. Most people there know each other, I like that part.Although one VERY drunk guy kept smelling us. HahahaDerby West is my go to and the bartenders at that location are great, friendly, and super Fun. Never had a big issue at either location. They are the Best!!!“
