“Food is always amazing. It was shocking to be a little hole in the wall bar, that all food was home cooked. They have fair prices, and a verity to choose from. I was told owner cooks all items herself. She definitely puts her heart and soul into it. They have everything from potato, lasagna soup, to wings, pizza, or a fully loaded chef salad. The half size salad was just. Very generous on size.“

“My boyfriend and I went here for our first time for their St. Patrick’s Day party. We decided to get food from the Chef Shack food truck they have there. All the food was delicious! The bartender was super nice and personable, and made great drinks. And he was very efficient as well. Never had to wait to get another drink, even though they got fairly busy. I had the Bloody Mary bar which I loved. Great topping choices and I like that I can create it myself to my liking. They have many great drink choices. Even the patrons there were all very nice! I liked the atmosphere and they also had a live band that day as well as some Irish dancers. Their outside are looked nice as well, but it was too chilly to stay out there and enjoy it this time. Even though it is about 20 minutes from home, I was very impressed and we will definitely be going back!“
“I really like this place, only thing I don’t like is how this is a jazz bar but they add $20 extra to your tab for them having a band. It’s a JAZZ bar! That’s like going to a water park and they charge you an extra $20 for the use of the water lol tipping the band should be optional for the customers or at least post a sign stating that. I don’t have a problem with paying it just through me off guard. Plus you’re still tipping the waiter.“

“Fabulous experience at Sycamore with impromptu seats at the bar. Started with a huge salad and the sticky carrots which had a bit of heat -- both were delicious and the salad was big enough to be an entree salad. Ravioli and Veggie Tagine were both fantastic. Complex seasoning and flavors and both vegetarian. Finished off with a strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode. Everything was excellent. And the service was outstanding.“

“Let me be honest in saying that I only give the service at 3 because I only go there when I'm taking out so I don't interact much with the people there however let me also tell you that as far as the food goes these people have taken your everyday normal hot dog and turned it into something amazing I personally get a dogginator it is a quarter pound hot dog wrapped in bacon topped with barbecue beef brisket buttermilk onion rings and cheese absolutely amazing and a heart attack waiting to happen how could you ask for any more from a hot dog thank you dirty Franks for opening our eyes to the world of hot dogs!!!“

So Blackbird Kitchen is not its own separate restaurant. You order food at the bar and they bring it to your table. Service was quick and the food was good overall. Parking was a bit confusing. Do not park in the parking lot before 6:30pm! You will need to find street parking, which was not hard. Outdoor seating area. “We went here for Taco Tuesday. They also have a self-service area where you can get chips and salsa with no charges. The staff were pleasant. The prices for the tacos are reduced on Tuesdays. They have varied taco choices, all of which tasted really good. They also have good margaritas. Parking is limited, but there's street parking.Would recommend.“
