Ye’s Asian Kitchen is my kind of spot — authentic Chinese food done right and a carry out experience that couldn’t have been smoother.
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it hit every note. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the sauce had that classic balance of sweet and tangy that you want from a great sweet and sour, and the portions were generous. Ye's Asian Kitchen is an awesome spot for traditional Chinese dishes and flavors. This is one of the few places in the Columbus area where you can get good to great tastes of various regional Chinese foods, and a rare bright spot amongst American-style Chinese restaurants. The menu has a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes you won't find at other restaurants in the Hilliard area. Truly authentic Chinese food is available, with items like drunken spare ribs, Jellyfish Salad, and Sliced Pork Belly with Garlic Sauce. The dishes are fresh, in adequate quantities, and seasoned to taste. The restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem, with terrific authentic Chinese cuisine in addition to American-Chinese food. The egg roll is light and crispy with fresh ingredients, and the General Tso chicken has a crisp outside with perfect flavor. The fried rice is delicious, a perfect blend of rice, soy sauce, egg, onions, peas, and corn. The atmosphere is bright and clean, with seating for both large and small groups. The service is very attentive. Do not come for Americanized general tso's or sesame chicken. Ignore the whiny reviews from sad vegans.
