“My wife and I saw the sign while driving by and decided to stop in. We were greeted when walked in and were sat at a booth by the windows. Are server came was very friendly and we asked if there were any specials. She told us about some new menu items and that the margaritas were on special that night.Come to find out they offer 15 different flavors so I ordered the blackberry and my wife ordered the mango. We ordered food and wet enjoyed everything we had. Our service was excellent and we will definitely be back!“
“I love the food at Hot Head. It gets a bit pricey at times, with some added fees for certain items that they don't always do a good job of informing you about, but it's always tasty and fresh. I think my biggest frustration though is that I never know what to expect from the food-prep workers. Some are cool, and clearly care about what they're putting together. They give good portions, and offer advice, and are really fun, chill people. Other times their people seem distracted, or in a rush, or just apathetic, and they skimp on ingredients, or seem easily confused by instructions that their other coworkers understand just fine. They're also -always- out of fajita veggies.“
“Always a favorite! Tons of calories and protein, which makes it my go to post-workout meal. Options for everyone's taste. They make the food in front of you to your specifications. They always wear gloves and keep their stations clean.A few of the workers have made me laugh and they are always pleasant. My order us as follows, in case you'd like a recommendation: bowl with chicken, black beans, mild salsa, corn, cheese, sour cream, occasionally quacamole.Dietary restrictions: They change their gloves and open their next container so nothing is contaminated. Really appreciate their dietary restrictions awareness.“
“ILL STILL GIVE YOU FIVE STARS. THE FIESTA VEGGIE BURRITO WAS TAKEN AWAY, NOW THE CHIPOTLE RANCH GRILLED CHICKEN BURRITO IS GONE TOO??? “4.56 rounded up My mom and I originally came here thinking it was more of a carry out taco shop. However, when I ran in to pick up carryout menus, this was clearly a restaurant with a full bar, plenty of table seating, and also provided carryout. It immediately struck me as feeling very clean. Sure enough, their Yelp health score was 100 out of 100. We were definitely game for trying it. My mom and I went inside and selected a comfortable booth. The decor is bright and inviting, though the theme appeared to be wrestling, which played on the TVs. The sound was turned down or muted but it was still somewhat distracting. We were promptly greeted by our server and ordered small margaritas on the rocks, the traditional house variety. They were okay- not great and not horrible- but nothing that made either of us want to order another. Tortilla chips and salsa were promptly placed on the table and the salsa was beyond amazing! It was clearly homemade with the perfect blend of ingredients that were agreeable to my mom, who generally prefers hot sauce, and to me, who would normally prefer a milder salsa. Not sure how they satisfied both pallets but they did. Wish they sold a bottled version of the salsa, and yet it was the homemade preservative free freshness that made it so delicious! For entrees, my mom ordered a breaded cod burrito with cabbage and tomatoes within the burrito. I ordered a pollo (chicken) burrito bowl. It could be ordered with avacado sauce (avocado and sour cream) and came with rice, lettuce, black beans, chicken and cheese. This restaurant is very authentic and there is a bit of a language barrier. I ordered my burrito bowl without the avocado sauce and ordered a side of chunky guacamole to share with my mom instead. My bowl arrived with the blend of avocado sauce and sour cream and I just rolled with it. It was still delicious, though I would have preferred it less creamy. The portions are huge so we ended up taking a lot of food home in to-go containers. My mom found the guacamole bland for her taste but I loved it. Interestingly, there no salt or pepper shakers on the table, and we didn't ask. My burrito bowl heated up nicely in the microwave for a few more meals and snacks. The salsa and guacamole were still delicious two days later. My mom, however, found her cod burrito best the first day when ordered. Upon heating it in the microwave, she was disappointed to find that it was less tasty and seemed more like fish sticks you might find at a grocery store. She still ate it though would probably order something else next time. Overall, our experience was extremely positive, despite disappointing margaritas, mild ordering misunderstanding, and a cod burrito that didn't heat up as well as leftovers. I would definitely return and be sure to clearly communicate any special orders. Absolutely enjoy the tortilla chips with salsa! This spot is very clean with so many delicious options within a colorful, upbeat ambiance. Highly recommend!“
“Amazing flavors and great presentation. Chips were thick and crispy; variety of salsas each were unique and flavorful. Tacos are good proportioned and filling. Margaritas were fresh and smooth. Limited seating, but good decor. A little pricy, but not your typical Mexican restaurant“
“El Tipico is a five star experience, definitely not average and exceedingly exceeds expectations. The ambience made me feel like I was in Mexico, the server was attentive, the food was served timely, fresh, hot and tastey. As an out-of-towner from Columbus visiting Toledo, I definitely will be visiting this restaurant again.“
“A brightly decorated interior greets you as you enter. Then you're greeted by the very friendly staff and seated @ your table. I chose the rolled beef tacos combo and was not disappointed. The tacos were fried to perfection and enrobed in sour cream and guacamole sauce then covered in shredded cheese. Another plate was filled with rice and refried beans and once again covered in melted cheese. A generous portion of chips and salsa was also served. Finally, I had a delicious margarita that was excellent.“
“There were so many options on the menu, it was overwhelming in an extremely good way! I have Celiac Disease and typically there isn’t much I can have when I dine out. I had the fajitas on gluten free tortillas, the Mexican corn on the cob, and Mexican rice (all gluten free). Everything is clearly marked on the menu for gluten free or even vegan so it takes the guesswork out of what you can and can’t have. There is so much more I want to try here so I’ll be back for sure. The 30 minute drive for us is so worth it. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Clearly marked menu with gluten free and vegan options“
“We decided to swing by and give this place a try! We are very happy that we did! We decided to sit outside on the patio, the weather was perfect! Everything we ordered tasted absolutely delicious! My burrito was the BEST I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many lol! The service we received was on point. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We can’t wait to go back there, next time we are in town! ?
