“I went to Old Canal SH from Cols 8/21/23 and friendly staff, great prices, food is indescribably delicious. I ate some there and placed carryout order. I still have plenty left. You will not be disappointed. The food looks and taste like photos. Don't take my word for it. Well worth the drive.“

“We've always had great service at this spot for typical quick Mexican fare. They check on us often and the food comes out fast. Good margaritas and like their Chile replenish. Wide variety in their menu and they will accommodate special requests.“

“My wife and I ordered a pizza and salad each, we both thought it was the best salad we have had in a long time, everything was fresh. I had the Hawaiian pizza my wife had the All the Way pizza, they were very good. Plan on going back when we are up that way. The young lady that served us was very nice“

“We go to this location once a week. We love their food and their employees however yesterday was a different experience for us. We like to sit at the bar so we moved one of the stools so we could sit together. It was at the end of the bar and the bartender said make sure you don't get over to far as that is where I put my drinks. When the 2 gentlemen left which was like 5 minutes we moved down at which time she came around and got the stool and slammed it down where it was. Now keep in mind we see others move stools all the time. We will continue to come to our favorite place to eat but if she's working we will not be sitting at the bar!“

“I know about the issues, but I read their recent statement and was very impressed how they addressed the community! So my family came here tonight. First off, it smelled clean and the furniture and tables were the cleanest Mexican Restaurant I've ever been in! Our server was great, friendly, and prompt. The food was excellent! From the fresh warm chips to the homemade salsa that I thought was perfect! Our food was brought out quickly and the guacamole was EXCELLENT! Actually, from the clean atmosphere to the food....this was the best Mexican dinner we've had! It was close to closing and they were cleaning the floors and restrooms and that was done well too. “Great experience. The food was great and the chef was also very nice even though I was having a bad day. A very easy way to get drunk if you're trying to drink a lot of alcohol in front of kids. A good way to meet random people that you may have otherwise never met. Their steak was very good. They allowed us to share off each other's plates and to have to go boxes when we were done. The payment process took a little while.Parking: It can be difficult to find the place if you're walking. It's kind of hidden in the background.“

Talked to the manager and they said they do quantity and use various sizes. She did correct the issue by giving me a few additional wings. Sauces were great as always. “Accessibility in this location is good but can improve by a couple of factors. Two ramps lead up to the main entrance (only entrance), allowing for those who utilize wheelchairs to get to the entrance, however, they are very steep ramps, which can be problematic. When getting on the ramp, however, there is a sidewalk you have to step on to access the ramp, which defeats the purpose. When you get to the entrance doors, there is no automatic button to open the doors, which can be changed. Not only is there one set of doors but there are two sets of doors you have to go through to get into the restaurant. When you walk through the first set of doors, there is a very small room with no seating to allow customers to wait if the line is long, but it is very small, so if someone was utilizing a wheelchair, they would take up the majority of the room, which can make customers feel like a burden! Not to mention, if there is someone who can only stand for a limited amount of time, they would have to sit on the one bench that is provided outside, which can be inconvenient, especially if the weather is cold or bad. When you get through the second set of doors (also not automatic), the check-in area is immediately to your left, which then forms a long line in front of the door, which is also inconvenient. I will say, they have a long bench that runs against the wall to allow customers to sit and wait, but due to the size of the restaurant, a long line still forms in front of the door and the bench fills up extremely fast. Once your family gets called to be seated, you have to go through a small entrance to get to the dining area, which is big enough to allow wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters through, but leaves no extraneous room. One last detail that can be highlighted is the extremely dark and low lighting which can be an issue for someone who has visual impairments.“

“I really enjoy eating here. The staff are so nice, attentive without being smothering. Food on the buffet was full, hot and delicious! Everything was clean and wait staff were on point. Overall, it was a relaxing and satisfying dinner!Vegetarian options: The salad bar was packed with a wide selection of choices as were the hot food selections. My only problem was some of the food wasn't labeled and someone who isn't familiar with the cuisine might have problems discerning what's vegetarian.“
