“I have a rare food allergy, so eating out can be a challenge. We are not from the Lima area but meet our adult children there sometimes since it is a midway point between our homes. We tried The Met today based on the reviews we saw online. We were not disappointed at all! We had Haily as a waitress today, she was super helpful and kind! I had many questions about ingredients and cross contamination concerns, she was happy to go back and forth between me and the chef/kitchen staff. Due to the fact that they make many of their own foods and do not rely on pre-manufactured foods, my allergy issues was not as big of a problem in this establishment. I had a larger variety of meals I could choose from than I do at most restaurants. We were excited enough about the variety I could choose from, but then once we got our meals we were even more pleased! The food was AMAZING! The smoked brisket was so tender and flavorful! We can not wait for our next excuse to meet up with our children so we have another chance to eat at The Met!! Thank you to all the staff today who made sure I was able to have quality food without any allergy issues! You made my day!”

“My husband and I stopped at Casa Lu AL 10/30 while we were on our way to another restaurant. Their exterior outdoor eating area looked cozy, and the large sign caught our eye.
The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place why.
Once inside and admitting it was our first time here, the greeter at the front desk described the two levels and what they had to offer. Although the lively atmosphere at street level was really nice, we chose the downstairs, Nonno's Cellar. Walking down the beautiful and lit stairway was like walking into a different restaurant. The beautiful arches that were also lighted and cozy seating choices were absolutely thoughtful and lovely. The music that was playing perfectly completed the ambiance.

Our waitress, Sarah, was personable and helpful for our dinner selections.

We both love Caesar salads and were a bit disappointed in that not being available. However, we both had a terrific side salad with our meal.
My husband chose the Great Lakes walleye and said it was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor.
I had the fettuccine carbonara, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. There just wasn't much flavor to it. It was nice to have bread. However, it wasn't toasted or warmed up.

Between us, we had a red and white wine, a bourbon neat, and a cocktail. All were good and nice pours. Then we were greeted by Emily, who told me about a bourbon cocktail that sounded so good, I had to try it. After her suggestion, I can say I will definitely try a paper plane cocktail again! Thanks, Emily 🙂

Our visit overall was a wonderful experience. And we will definitely go back.

Once home, I started looking into Casa Lu Al and was able to jog my memory about why it sounded familiar. We had actually been before to the restaurant 4 years ago when they were located on the north side of Lima. I recall that our experience there wasn't a great one. We did not like the cramped, older interior. I can't recall much about the food we had, so it must not have been memorable.

If anyone has gotten this far in my long review, that has been to their previous location and wasn't a fan, all I can say is to make sure to try their new location. You will not be disappointed. They have definitely stepped up their game!

“Bestest Hershey's hard dip ice cream ever! With so many flavors to pick from. Some examples banana pudding, mint freckle, moose tracks, superman, cookie dough and so many more. I've been coming to Jerry's for over 20 years. It's a secret I am now willing to share with the world. Giant portion sizes on the ice cream too. Impressed me 20 some years ago and to this day! I was introduced to this place by one of my mentors in the EMS field while serving the community. A little convenience store selling some delicious deli "samviches" and ice cream. Yes! Yes, you should try the subs too.”

“Free parking easy check in. The facility is in good shape. No upgrades available sold out. The room was quiet however the refrigerator was full of food and drinks from previous guests bagged that up had to find a trash can downstairs to throw it all away. Small pool and workout area. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired.”

“WOW, what an experience. I love to travel and visit OG Diners and drive ins. Rumor has it Dave Thomas used to eat here and I beleive it. The meat is fresh, well seasoned and delicious. The menu is accommodating to everyone that loves comfort food. I love this one (Elizabeth St.) because it is like walking back in time when you go through the door. You are greeted by a clean environment and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I truly can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my food and my time at Kewpee Hamburgers. I'm already trying to figure out a way to go back. Kind of hard to do when you live in Northern Virginia, but I will find a way!?

The girls working found the drink on a previous order and then made it for me. They were super kind, super friendly, and the drink was delicious! I will definitely be back!”

“Plenty of seating inside, this is a good size bar! Attentive servers! The spicy cheese curds were awesome and served with ranch and a tomato sauce. I got extra crispy wings with the buffalo garlic Parmesan sauce. I’m very particular about wings and these were 10/10, hot/crispy/delicious flavor! Others in the party had a Philly steak and Philly chicken sub they said it was good. Someone else had a double bacon cheeseburger, he stated would be better with fresh patties but overall was ok. The Subs and burger were served with potato chips. Restroom (single) was large and probably the cleanest restaurant restroom I’ve ever encountered. Menu is extremely diverse almost anyone could find something they desire to snack on. Happy to have found this little place!

“Got to go. It's been a little while since I ate here. But it's my favorite Chinese in town. Today was exceptional. I order hot pepper chicken and egg roll. Comes with white rice. Rice was exceptional today. Not clumpy not dry. Was tender and moist. Seems like a few more onions and green onions than last couple visits. Only complaint. Egg roll is not fresh.
Fried up ahead of time. Today's visit was a pleasant suprise.”

“We live out of state but planned to head to Arlington Ohio to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday and needed a cake to honor the milestone birthday. Not familiar with the area or cake makers, Google showed several but I couldn’t find one that had decent reviews and would be open on Saturday (we would be arriving late Friday dependent on traffic). On Tuesday (4 days before I would need the cake) I took a chance and called Calla Lilly and she was so friendly on the phone. Several questions were asked and I turned all ideas to her and hoped for the best. I ended up calling on Friday to see if I could get it on our way through and she was working on it. I messaged an hour before we would be there and when we arrived, the cake was completed. It was beautiful. We had the cake today and the flavor was really good and it was so good and not a bit dry. I’m so glad I took a leap of faith. All party goers commented on it and even my Mother-in-law mentioned how good it was. Thank you so much for the hard work, creativity and ease to work with.”

“I stopped into Paddy's Mac, Lima's oldest Irish pub, for a bit of nostalgia last night since I haven't lived here in 20 years. One question came to mind: when did Paddy Mac's become the spot? It was absolutely packed in there.

The atmosphere was vibrant with a live band playing outside who were simply amazing. Inside, there was a jukebox and a .75 cent pool table, adding to the pub’s old-school charm. The large drafts, over 32 oz, were only $4, and the food prices looked like they were straight out of the 90s.

The highlight of the night was definitely the bartender, Summer. Even though she was working the bar by herself, she handled it like a seasoned pro, ensuring that no one had to wait long for their drinks. It might have been her 30th birthday, but she was serving like she had been behind the pine for 30 years.

Paddy's Mac has truly become a gem and I will definitely be back on my next trip home.”

“Love their food. It's hands down the best pizzeria in Lima. Those cinnamon sticks are to die for. They're supposed to be dessert but we eat them right away. Plus the price it's amazing too. I can get an 18in 2 topping pizza, cinnamon sticks, which is more like a small cake. A lasagna, and a 2 liter plus delivery for $40. You will pay that much for beer barrel alone and their sauce isn't sweet at all. Which is what I like. Everyone tht tries it loves it or else they're a jerk.”

My Mom bought the no bake cookies and said they were very good. Would recommend and would purchase again.”

“We came in today (2/26/2022) at 4:00 for a late lunch and it was absolutely slammed. Very busy. But despite it all, the entire staff was incredibly kind, went above and beyond for us, compensated for our wait without us saying anything about it, and stayed calm and collected, even with the large line of people. The quality of food was so good — everything was fresh and the dining/seating area was very clean! We were throughly impressed with Ashley and Alex especially! They’re warm and friendly attitudes made the visit beyond pleasant!”

I've never found any gluten free pizza with dairy free cheese! Great choices of fresh toppings plus choices of two sauces. My wait was only SIX minutes! And the cost less than $15! It was delicious!!”

“Today was my son’s birthday and he really loves Dunkins iced pink donuts I was able to get three dozen donuts through the drive-through in just a couple minutes at 7:15am which I’m sure can be a busy time as people head to work and it was the cheapest I could get around in Lima.
