I went in for the soup and salad bar and it didn't disappoint. Service was great. My only complaint is that I don't like country music, which was playing in the restaurant.
Varieties is a local favorite "diner" for breakfast. We don't get there often but have been there a half dozen times and the food is consistently good. It's diner sort of food so it's not gourmet. So don't go there expecting fancy food. But you'll get good food at a fair price in a clean environment.

The prices are great, but what really impressed me was the taste of the food. I have never had French toast that was so perfectly cooked. I also got one biscuit and gravy and it was so big, it could have been a meal in itself. The biscuit was flaky and fresh. My only complaint, and it is surprising coming from a diner, is that the coffee was not good. It was bitter. It tasted like decaf, though I am sure it wasn't. It was just not good. Everything else made up for it though.
