“The wine is excellent. The Sangiovese was smooth and bursting with flavor. All of the fruit wines are spot on. The Gewurztraminer was amazing. The server Zach was knowledgeable and on it. The only downfall was the pizza. It was bad. Crust was like sliced bread. But don't let the pizza get in the way. Check this spot out.”

“R.I.P. B-dubs! I will never go back there again for wings now that I’ve found Don & Sue’s… hands down the best place for wings in the Newark-Heath-Granville area. Only wish I had found this place earlier. It’s so cool. Very well decked out with a hometown sports vibe. And the food is on point. Great garlic cheese bread, great onion rings, great pizza and now great wings. They have an “extra saucy” option, but there’s no need. My wings were drenched in Carolina Gold (my fav). And to top it all off, Harley was the greatest, nicest, sweetest server I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in ages. Whoever is running this place is hitting on all cylinders. Absolutely my favorite Newark restaurant by far.”

“I live in Mount Vernon Ohio and I drive all the way to North just to get their Pizza. Their Pizza is completely covered in pepperoni and cooked to a crispy perfection. We finally got a Pizza Cottage in Mount Vernon where I am from in the service is horrible as you can see on the reviews I live 10 minutes from Mount Vernon Pizza Cottage I ordered a pizza they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes this is when they very first opened at 11:00 in the morning. I got there within 10 minutes was very surprised that my pizza was ready. When they handed me the Box through the window I found it odd that it was cold. When I got home the pizza was cold as though it had been refrigerated overnight and they didn't even take the time to reheat it it just gave it to me as a cold leftover from last night I'm not joking it was literally refrigerated cold the pizza crust was super rubbery from being stored in the refrigerator. The customer service there is appalling. I will continue to drive to Newark from Mount Vernon to get the greatest Pizza in the world from that Pizza Cottage. Even by the time I get home from there my pizza was hotter than it was from Mount Vernon where I lived 10 minutes away nor have I ever been given cold leftover night pizza from Pizza Cottage of Newark. I would recommend them a thousand times over great customer service very clean restaurant great food always. Mount Vernon is the worst I would never recommend it to anybody not with their childish behavior on the inside nor their cold leftover pizza they didn't even bother to heat up before giving it to me when they first opened. Hopefully it closes down before it gets Pizza Cottage a bad name”

“I just tried a playa bowl for the first time and I’m honestly so impressed! I had the açaí base, several fruit toppings, Nutella, and granola. Seriously the best decision I could have made for lunch. It was delicious. The portion was much larger than I expected and I may order a kids next time. We’ll see. I asked for a side of Pita bread too, and that was the best pita bread I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend!! Support local business and eat here!”

“Lucky Bamboo is one of our favorite places <3 I’ve sampled most things on their menu over the years, and the food is always good. The atmosphere is peaceful, the wait staff is helpful and friendly without being over solicitous, and the prices are quite reasonable. This is a good place to take visitors not only because the food is terrific but also because they have two main sections, the back one with a bar, and they can usually accommodate a slightly larger group by putting tables together while also having several booths along the outer walls (our favorite spots).
Try their Mala green beans with chicken if you like spicy hot Thai food, or the Mongolian beef.”

“I was born in Queens NY, and then moved to PA outside of Philly when I was around 9. The pizza from that was is just out of this world, and when I moved to Ohio I was so sad because honestly every place I’ve tried pizza I’ve been disappointed. I will note that I am also Italian so I’m a stickler about pizza 😂 On a whim yesterday My husband, kids and myself decided to give Christy’s a try. It was such a cozy atmosphere for starters. Every single thing we ordered was fresh hot and sooooooo tasty. There was a little bit of a mix up with my husbands calzone, but they made him a new one very fast and took care of us! He said it was absolutely delicious and he is a very picky man. The pizza was THE BEST PIZZA I have ever had in my 5 years of living in Ohio now. I honestly will never eat pizza from anywhere ever again, also very affordable prices! With every bite I just kept saying wow this is so good 😭 We will 100 percent be recommending to all our family and friends! Thank you so much!! You have earned forever customers”

Great place to meet friends, rap, and watch sports on TV...LOUD. Kid friendly, with kids menu items. Service is excellent, prices reasonable.

Parking: Place is always busy, busier in late afternoon-evenings, so you usually have to cruise around to find a decent parking place unless you want to park a football field away.

Kid-friendliness: Roosters is kid friendly. They have a kids menu with some good menu options for kids.”

“I had not been in a TJs for literally years (at least 10) because the last meal I got was so full of grease that it made me nauseous. Tonight my husband had some friends who were dining at the TJs in Newark, OH and asked me if I wanted to go. I was hungry and didn’t feel like cooking so I said. “Well I don’t really like TJs but I’ll try it.” I was glad I did. My meal was good. The portions were great. The service was outstanding even though they were very busy. We got a military discount because my husband is a vet. I’ll definitely go back to the TJs in Newark on north 21st street.”

“New to the area, so trying all the local spots. 2 weeks ago I ordered a tomato and mushroom. Crust was good and baked properly, but the canned tomatoes and mushrooms made it so bland, threw most of it away. My husband had a meat one, he said it was fine.”

They quit making my wife's favorite a Sunday cone which I understand that most people don't even know what it is. And the lobby was really dirty I hope the rest of it wasn't. I've been going there for 40 plus years to that location whether he this is the original owner or not. Great location. Right by the ball field. Right across from the Y. There is no dine in at this location it's all take out other than that they do have a couple of picnic tables behind the building.”

He took the time to get my orders individually and bagged them and numbered them which made my job 10x easier. “We were going to go to the ice cream festival at the old mill in Utica after a day of fun and adventure. There was only half an hour left but they still wanted $10 to park so we said that wasn't worth it for just getting a cone. We ended up at this DQ and I had my first turtle pecan blizzard. It was really good and parking was free. I highly recommend free parking for ice cream. I like German chocolate blizzards more but not too many DQs remember what's in them.”
