“Chili blog on the road. on a road trip to columbus.. After a nice fall walk and some record shopping. i picked up Chili and cornbread. For 5.50 The chili was very decent. Huge chunks of beef chili and kidney beans. Onion dices so thin that you get that flavor without the texture they also appear to use red pepper but no chunky tomatoes. This chili had a very minimal amount of spice. Overall. 7.5 I'd definitely come back for the chili.”

Seriously the best decision I could have made for lunch. It was delicious. The portion was much larger than I expected and I may order a kids next time. We’ll see. I asked for a side of Pita bread too, and that was the best pita bread I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend!! Support local business and eat here!”

I need to amend my review. Today myself (67, a young and techie sort of elderly who goes frequently), and my two much more elderly neighbors went, they had not been there in a long time. My one neighbor/friend was confused as to what white sauce was, and what brown sauce was. I tried to help her, but she didn't seem to understand that whatever is listed is going to be what comes with the dish, and she also couldn't seem to understand what he was saying. I am familiar with his accent and don't have any trouble.

Anyway, she was trying to explain to the man (owner?) about what she wanted, and he was cross with her, and you could tell he was cross, by looking at his face. He tends to be very fast, and efficient, which is fine by me, but he needs to be kinder (and more patient), with the elderly. She was very upset with how he acted, and how he would just dash off immediately. He needs to work on his people skills, just saying.”

“R.I.P. B-dubs! I will never go back there again for wings now that I’ve found Don & Sue’s… hands down the best place for wings in the Newark-Heath-Granville area. Only wish I had found this place earlier. It’s so cool. Very well decked out with a hometown sports vibe. And the food is on point. Great garlic cheese bread, great onion rings, great pizza and now great wings. They have an “extra saucy” option, but there’s no need. My wings were drenched in Carolina Gold (my fav). And to top it all off, Harley was the greatest, nicest, sweetest server I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in ages. Whoever is running this place is hitting on all cylinders. Absolutely my favorite Newark restaurant by far.”

“Food is good, but not a sit-down, Dinner meal type of place. Sports bar atmosphere with many appetizers, sandwich, wrap, burger, items, and CHICKEN WINGS, their specialty. Great place to meet friends, rap, and watch sports on TV...LOUD. Kid friendly, with kids menu items. Service is excellent, prices reasonable.

Parking: Place is always busy, busier in late afternoon-evenings, so you usually have to cruise around to find a decent parking place unless you want to park a football field away.

Kid-friendliness: Roosters is kid friendly. They have a kids menu with some good menu options for kids.”

Tonight my husband had some friends who were dining at the TJs in Newark, OH and asked me if I wanted to go. I was hungry and didn’t feel like cooking so I said. “Well I don’t really like TJs but I’ll try it.” I was glad I did. My meal was good. The portions were great. The service was outstanding even though they were very busy. We got a military discount because my husband is a vet. I’ll definitely go back to the TJs in Newark on north 21st street.”

The pizza from that was is just out of this world, and when I moved to Ohio I was so sad because honestly every place I’ve tried pizza I’ve been disappointed. I will note that I am also Italian so I’m a stickler about pizza 😂 On a whim yesterday My husband, kids and myself decided to give Christy’s a try. It was such a cozy atmosphere for starters. Every single thing we ordered was fresh hot and sooooooo tasty. There was a little bit of a mix up with my husbands calzone, but they made him a new one very fast and took care of us! He said it was absolutely delicious and he is a very picky man. The pizza was THE BEST PIZZA I have ever had in my 5 years of living in Ohio now. I honestly will never eat pizza from anywhere ever again, also very affordable prices! With every bite I just kept saying wow this is so good 😭 We will 100 percent be recommending to all our family and friends! Thank you so much!! You have earned forever customers”

“I live in Mount Vernon Ohio and I drive all the way to North just to get their Pizza. Their Pizza is completely covered in pepperoni and cooked to a crispy perfection. We finally got a Pizza Cottage in Mount Vernon where I am from in the service is horrible as you can see on the reviews I live 10 minutes from Mount Vernon Pizza Cottage I ordered a pizza they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes this is when they very first opened at 11:00 in the morning. I got there within 10 minutes was very surprised that my pizza was ready. When they handed me the Box through the window I found it odd that it was cold. When I got home the pizza was cold as though it had been refrigerated overnight and they didn't even take the time to reheat it it just gave it to me as a cold leftover from last night I'm not joking it was literally refrigerated cold the pizza crust was super rubbery from being stored in the refrigerator. The customer service there is appalling. I will continue to drive to Newark from Mount Vernon to get the greatest Pizza in the world from that Pizza Cottage. Even by the time I get home from there my pizza was hotter than it was from Mount Vernon where I lived 10 minutes away nor have I ever been given cold leftover night pizza from Pizza Cottage of Newark. I would recommend them a thousand times over great customer service very clean restaurant great food always. Mount Vernon is the worst I would never recommend it to anybody not with their childish behavior on the inside nor their cold leftover pizza they didn't even bother to heat up before giving it to me when they first opened. Hopefully it closes down before it gets Pizza Cottage a bad name”

“I just had the most amazing customer service here!!! WOW!! I had to put in 25 individual orders for residents at a nursing home and the manager Carlos was phenomenal. He took the time to get my orders individually and bagged them and numbered them which made my job 10x easier. Shout out to Gabe and another girl who helped (didn't get her name) but they obviously worked well together because the order was perfectly done and I wasn't missing anything.
