This is a hidden gem in the heart of North College Hill. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It was like a down home type feeling. Those from the south understand. The fish is cooked in cornmeal as it should be. Never had beef gumbo until I dined here. It's just plain old down home cooking at its best. I'll become a regular customer at this mom & pop restaurant.
Pluto's had good smothered porkchops and whiting. The yams were good and fries were seasoned well. The macaroni and green beans could use more seasoning. They should NOT put the bread under the smothered porkchops because it soaks through the bread.

Saw the mixed reviews and it made me nervous but I tried it anyway. The fish SLAPPED, as the kids today would say. It was well seasoned, not too salty and fried HARD. Yay! The yams were pretty good and not runny. People have a tendency to NOT know how to properly cook yams.
