New American Restaurants near Oregon, OH

“We've been coming to the Black Forest Café a few times a year for the last few years. Any of the dishes are great, but the schnitzel is amazing. The giant pretzel is good. The spatzel is yummy.On our latest visit (tonight) they had been very busy and short staffed, but the staff were all very accommodating and friendly. We brought friends that hadn't been there before and they loved the food and had a great experience.It's truly a hidden gem in Oregon, Ohio. “

“We don't get there very often, not close to home, but the same great waitress is always there and such a variety on the menu! Like to try different foods! Had greek salad, grecian Burgers and chicken noodle soup. Got pleasantly surprised when we went to pay! Some very nice young couple paid our bill, the waitress said that they hoped they could be like us when they get older! We'll be Married 64 yrs, Oct. 1st. If they see this, we'd like to thank them very and wish them as many years as we've enjoyed together! Ron & Donita“

“Traveling from out of town and wanted soul food. Google lead us here!!! Baked chicken, fried chicken, fish, yams, greens, Mac and cheese and okra all was amazing!I will be back when passing through. Oh how could I forget the customer service was on point!“

“Had the turkey chipotle sandwich w/fries and it was delish. Just the right amount of chipotle sauce, shaved turkey, and pickles with onion on a super fresh bun. The fries are a cut above rest. The cafe was hopping busy at lunch time but service was great.“

“If I could put more stars, I would! Our first time visiting and our server Dawn was superb she went above and beyond to make our dinner special. I asked her to pick my meal, and what she recommended was perfect. It was a dry age NY strip with sautéed mushrooms and a big loaded potato.The restaurant was very cozy and the atmosphere was perfect. If you want romantic dinner, then this is the place.“

“A great downtown Toledo restaurant! Reasonable prices for top quality food and drinks, and desserts. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We had a party of 3 and were in the mood to “party/celebrate” .. had a wonderful time.So you may not spend as much as we did, but it was worth it.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian dishes.Parking: On street parking at meters free after 6 nearby and paid parking garages as well.“

“Reservation was a breeze on a Saturday night, though they were packed. Promptly seated, server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had bread for starters, lobster bisque and french onion soup. Of course we gotta try the steaks.. we ordered three 16 oz ribeye steaks cooked to medium rare perfection, well seasoned with onions and mushrooms on the side. NY strip steak was tender as well.. The Chilean Sea Bass was delish! The meals were satisfying and filling we didn't have room for crème brûlée.. perhaps next time. Happy tummy once again!“

“In honor of Pi Day, I figured I should check out why other Yelpers have been raving about Jo Jo's... They're something to rave about or at least their small meats pizza is rave worthy. The serve was quick and the ambience gave me a oldies "OG." I would totally return for another pizza Pi.“

“My first time at Yum Yummy and was greeted with such kindness by the owners. The food was delicious and plentiful. Had the sesame chicken and the kung pao chicken along with egg rolls. It was awesome!“

“The food is ok, you may have some greasy finger marks on top of your bun. They do have a special that is a great bargain. Staffing is a wide range of friendly to personality of dry wall. This is not a romantic spot, rather a quick affordable bite to eat. Restaurant has always been clean and clean bathrooms.“

“My husband and I had dinner here before we went to a comedy show. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday evening. The place was alive and bustling. They have a small area downstairs with a bar and outdoor patio. We had dinner upstairs, which was also very lovely. There is artwork on the walls which you could purchase if you would like. we sat at a table for two near the windows, and we were also next to this very interesting square opening that that allowed us to view the first floor. There was a lovely piece of artwork hanging from the ceiling through this viewing area. My husband ordered the Lake Erie Walleye Dinner, and I ordered the Tuscan Chicken. My husband said his food tasted great. My food was pretty good. It had entirely too much cheese on top of it for me, and it could have used a little bit more seasoning. We both had house salads, and my husband had the soup of the day which was potato and turnip soup. I tried some, and it was delicious. The portions were excellent. We also both had a glass of wine. The bartender was not skimpy on the pour either! Our server told us that everything for the most part is made in house, including the pasta and the dressings. Service was exceptional. She stopped by our table frequently enough but not too much. We live in the Detroit area, but when we return for another comedy show, I wouldn’t mind stopping at this establishment again.“
