“I have avoided coming to BJs for over a year because of the poor service and attitudes. We popped in today after church as my daughter picked the restaurant today—- so glad we came. The server (Jimmy) was bright, great attitude and his professional service and genuine kindness refreshed my desire to return again soon. Toledo has a lot of places to eat and I am no foodie but would return based on his attitude and today’s refreshing service alone. Thank You Jimmy for treating so kind and providing quick, courteous service.“
“We went for our anniversary. Trying a new spot we have been hearing about. Our waiter was super amazing. I got the tune med rare(to share. I suggest seared). And orzo side with tomatoes. They were good and flavors blended. Warning to you. It is a chilled dish so it won't be hot. My fiance got southwestern pasta and mac n cheese. The pasta had good blend of peppers and spices. Creamy dish. The mc n cheese was ny style and was good for.trying it that way“
“If I could put more stars, I would! Our first time visiting and our server Dawn was superb she went above and beyond to make our dinner special. I asked her to pick my meal, and what she recommended was perfect. It was a dry age NY strip with sautéed mushrooms and a big loaded potato. The restaurant was very cozy and the atmosphere was perfect. If you want romantic dinner, then this is the place.“
“This is my #1 spot in the City of Toledo for Chicken and Waffles! Service is always the best and I love the atmosphere! Parking can be a little tricky just because you need to find a spot on street with meter parking or you can lot park if you prefer. I have never had to park far though.I wish they were open on Saturdays, the business hours from 11-3p during week make it hard for me to get there more often. The only time I make it out there is when I have a day off during the week.“
“Traveling from out of town and wanted soul food. Google lead us here!!! Baked chicken, fried chicken, fish, yams, greens, Mac and cheese and okra all was amazing!I will be back when passing through. Oh how could I forget the customer service was on point!“
“A great downtown Toledo restaurant! Reasonable prices for top quality food and drinks, and desserts. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We had a party of 3 and were in the mood to “party/celebrate” .. had a wonderful time.So you may not spend as much as we did, but it was worth it.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian dishes.Parking: On street parking at meters free after 6 nearby and paid parking garages as well.“
“Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Toledo. They have a good sized bar and a good amount of tables. The service is good and the waitress are friendly. Great burger and grilled chicken sandwich They have to remember that they are a restaurant so please keep the music below 75 decibels.“
“Ok, so half off pizza Monday-Wednesday. Wow. I got a large meat lovers for $7...Here is a bunch of fun-loving guys having a great time and making awesome pizza. ? I was working and hungry, so I grabbed a meat lovers. I always order well done because nobody seems to cook their pizza all the way. Well, I didn't have to. It was done perfectly. Awesome job guys. Don't forget to try the foreign caprisun drink. It's a wonderful treat.I took pictures of my pizza, can't find them. I will post them later.“
“Whenever i have a weekday off, i try to remember to go to Mancy's. The best kept fine dining secret on a budget. Classic cozy steakhouse vibes complete with a fireplace. The servers are always friendly and very attentive. On Wednesday you can get the chopped steak dinner with one side for $8! YES, you read that right ... $8! It's not your ordinary chopped steak either. It made from top quality cuts of meat from one of Toledo's best steakhouses. I encourage you to give it a try.“
“I had the most unusual experience. I've never actually had a situation like this before. It was something almost out of a movie, a romcom I'd imagine. I guess that made me John Cusack or Jack Black? My friends made a reservation and had the screen shot of it as proof even, but when we got there they didn't have our reservation or even know about it. They made it right by seating the four of us promptly at the MAIN table, a table for 8-10 people. It was very nice to have the extra space and a bit more light. The atmosphere is very quaint, almost like a speak easy. Lots of wood, a large bar for a small area, and very simply decorated. It can get a little loud in there, but that might just have been the table of ladies in the corner that wanted to be heard by the politician sitting with his wife across the room.We ordered appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and the beef tips. Both came out in a reasonable amount of time. The beef tips were amazing, tender and the "gravey" was thin and almost felt healthy. The mushrooms were ok. The stuffing in them had an obvious vegetable presence, corn and something else, something leafy. Not too much flavor maybe, very light as well. The issue was, on maybe my third or fourth mushroom, all of which I cut in half, I had what I thought was an under-cooked leafy vegetable. I couldn't rip it apart in my mouth, but I started to flatten it out, unroll it on my tongue. Growing as I unraveled it, I had to pull it out of my mouth, because part of it started to go down my throat. To my party's shock, as I pulled it out, I probably looked like I was a bad clown entertainer. It seemed bigger in my mouth, no jokes please, but it turned out to be a sheet of plastic! Balled up, clear plastic, like you would find shrink wrapped around a quart of mushrooms at the store. I don't think I swallowed any, at least not in that mushroom. I'd eaten enough, and they were good, so I ate the last one, very cautiously, probing like, and cut up, even after my discovery. Clean plate club I admit. We told the waitress, so that they could troubleshoot to make sure no other customers would have the same issue. We proceeded with dinner. My apple salad was good, different then what I have had elsewhere, not better, not worse, unique. I liked it. My salmon was great! Just not enough. The best part was the vegetables that came with it. Brussel sprouts and a mixture of a couple additional vegetables. If there was any problem with my main course, it would have just been the, maybe 3 oz piece of salmon. Everything tasted great. I had a local micro brew beer, and my friend had a couple over priced cocktails, our wives had wine. The chef/owner? Is a very nice and polite man. He came out and apologized in person for the plastic wrap. He also said that he comped our appetizers and my drinks. Everyone was so nice about the situation I felt bad when I actually had brought a Foody Card for a bit off my bill. I didn't feel bad when I saw that my wife and I still had a large bill though. I didn't know the price and portions going into the restaurant, that was my bad. I definitely didn't expect to find a surprise in my appetizer, that was their bad. The place is nice and we had great food, sans my surprise ingredient. It just seemed not right, spending that much after getting so much discounted and then having to go home and eat some frozen pizza slices because I was still hungry. I'd suggest more salmon on the PL8, or at least a lot more of those tasty vegetables.I'll probably go again, because the food WAS great. I just hope this was an odd, one-off occurrence, and that there is no sequel to my romcom movie.“
“If you're into smaller crowds the good people this would be a place I'd recommend they do karaokes every Saturday and nobody's judgemental they actually do have a few people that if you're just into watching that are extremely good at singing they also serve food if prior to a certain time I have yet made it in time for food the bar staff is always friendly and helpful with whatever they can do for you“
“Nice, clean location to eat at. The food was delicious, the service was great it wasn't overly crowded. Very pleasant experience. Will definitely be going back again.Vegetarian options: I'm not vegetarian so I'm not sure of the variety of vegetarian options offered but they do have some very yummy salads.Dietary restrictions: They have artificial sweeteners, vegetarian options and burgers and other predominantly protien options without a bun or breading. If you have specific dietary restrictions.Parking: Parking is a parking lot some handicap parking near entrance and then plenty of parking for others as well.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid Friendly options on menu and well priced too.Wheelchair accessibility: From the parking lot to the table there was no steps or ledges. Someone with a wheelchair would be able to eat at this location just fine.“
“I appreciate our server, Alexis, she was great! Food is great. The TVs were mot too loud, we could hold a conversation without needing to shout. Drinks were excellent. We are definitely going back.Parking: Near the door. Lots of parking on a Friday evening.“
