My experience was top notch from my initial phone call on Saturday night to the restaurant inquiring about available menus, etc to driving away with my order on Sunday. “This place was FANTASTIC. It IS a cash only business, which I didn't know at the time, so make sure to stop by the ATM before you go. But the Sausage Sandwiches were fantastic, the French fries were "fair style" and perfectly cooked, and the service was top notch. Its clearly a place for the locals who seem to be down to earth and friendly people. I was from out of town but felt right at home. Will be stopping by again soon.“

“Came in tonight on my birthday. John was working and he was great! So friendly, answered all of our questions, we came in a bit later and he did not rush us. We had such a great time and chatted with John a bit. There are so many bars out there but the set up was special, and so was the service. Beer drinkers, you will love the selection, others will enjoy the hard liquor available, but everyone will enjoy the ambiance and friendly service you'll get when going to whistle and keg! “RIp’s Cafe is a hidden jem located in Struthers Ohio. It was always known for is bar & Hungarian dishes, However they have much more to offer. A nice menu of comfort foods. A complete & stocked bar, which never disappoints. 6 TV’s for all of your sports viewing. The bar staff & servers are always on point with service. The atmosphere is always relaxed and inviting. I love meeting friends there for a bite to eat or watching the game. They have parking in the front & rear of the building. Lots of seats at the bar or hi tables. “If you’re looking for a great place to dine, be sure to try the Riser Tavern! We went to the one on W Western Reserve Rd and enjoyed it immensely. We shared a hot pretzel appetizer, which came with 3 sauces and was great. We both had the breaded and fried fish sandwich which looked exactly like the pictures on their menu! And it tasted better than its picture! We were there in midafternoon, and the place was more than half full, which tells you others feel the same way we do about it. “Food is BEST when Blaine or James is cooking. They are fast, & on point. (Blaine is my favorite & I'm sad he doesn't work weds anymore) Best bartenders are Leslie, Heather, & Moe. Leslie has one waiting on the bar b4 I even walk in the door! I don't have to wait for drinks & Moe delivers to the patio if I've been out there too long & she knows I'll be out. Some nights are slower than others, but that's expected anywhere. Karaoke is on Wednesdays & great fun. I've held 3 adult birthday parties there & Leslie went out of her way to make each one special! She even picked a cake up FOR me to help with preparation bc I was running around ragged! If I had to complain about something, it would be that certain liquors that I drink aren't always in stock & their one fridge doesn't keep the beer quite as cold as it should be. But the bartenders adjust & compensate by putting them on ice when they see someone is drinking a brand from that fridge. Then they're ice cold & perfect. They hold free comedy nights, & have bands play occasionally. They do holiday parties w/ free food & involve the kiddos during the day for Halloween & Christmas. The haluski was very good, Fish was very good, maybe the best I've had since moving here, we both had fried, maybe a lemon half would have made it perfect. “We were looking for a place, where we felt welcome. We got some suspicious looks at first but after talking to the staff and owners, we knew we were where we needed to be. We are planning a trip to Youngstown just to show our appreciation! Ms. Dot got me putting ranch seasoning on my fries! Mickie! Them peppers Auntie!! Pickles were being delivered but I had to take a jar with me! Thank you so much for making us feel at home! We even had a great time with the patrons! We were advised to go to Frieda’s night club later that evening, based on the atmosphere we were looking for. We are definitely planning a trip just to visit again! And yes, my Wanda B’s peppers and my aunties pickles made it all the way back to TN! Paid extra for luggage but it was worth it!“

“I've been here a few times. The food is good, probably better if you're gluten tolerant, but since I'm not, there are very few good options, and those options aren't spectacular. The seating here can be extremely uncomfortable if you get put in the wrong spot. The last time we went, my husband and I sat on the same side of a booth and I've never been in a worse seat at a restaurant. It literally caved in to the center so our spines were at an angle toward each other. We're regular sized people, on the thin side if anything. The only alternative seating available was a hard metal high-top stool with no back. I don't have back problems, I'm relatively young, but I was literally aching to get out of there for how cheap and poorly built the booth seat was.On the plus side, the service is always excellent here! If you can snag a comfortable seat and don't have dietary restrictions, you'll have a great time here.“

“T & J's Brickhouse is clean and pleasant with friendly, professional employees. They have entertainment on some evenings?, a pool league, and more. The back deck is enclosed with a stockade fence, has a good sound system for music, etc Although they have a limited menu, the food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. Try the quesadillas. “I believe this is a private club but I could be mistaken about that. I've been here many years ago but I went with a group of people who were frequent regulars and its possible that they were members and I was their guest. Back then, in the early 2000s, I enjoyed myself in the presence of the patrons, a bar room full of people who were obviously all good friends which created an atmosphere that felt both fun and relaxing to say the least, all of these regulars treated me with welcoming kindness and acceptance. They served food and of course I ordered pasta which was totally amazing, the kind of amazing that could only be cooked by someone's grandmother born in Italy and brought with her a well guarded family recipe. If you have the opportunity to do so, definitely come here and experience this for yourself, I can promise you that you wont regret it and you'll enjoy yourself every moment spent there.“

“A little late on writing reviews so figured I'd start getting caught back up. This bar and grille is a local semi-dive bar with cold beer and terrific food. On this visit, my friend and I sat at the bar as it was busy due to a small work party going on as well. We enjoyed a cold beer while we perused the menu. They are known for their burgers but I was stuck on wanting to order the sausage sangwich and boy I was not disappointed. The sausage patty was absolutely delicious served topped with provolone, peppers and onions on a grilled bun and a side of fries to accompany (Sadly, I forgot to take pics). In asking one of the owner's who was behind the bar, he told me that the sausage is made locally right up the street at DePizzo's sausage. I know this place to have fantastic homemade sausage but a fire at their small facility shut them down a few years ago but they still make it in limited quantities and Shaker's is one of the beneficiaries of this deliciousness. The owner ended up chatting with us for approx. 45-minutes where he bought us a few rounds of beers on top of a few shots since Christmas was right around the corner. Great little spot and I need to get back to try their burgers. I'll update once I've done so.“
