“Don't let the name fool you! It's a lovely place with fabulous food - not at all your typical bar food plus a friendly staff! You'll be surprised at the offerings, from pasta, to seafood to steaks and more. Plus the wine list is reasonable and comprehensive. Once inside you are surrounded by deeply stained oak and a long bar. It seems like everyone is your friend even before you sit down. The mussels were garlicky and fresh. I had the Pecan Crusted Walleye- locally caught , yum. My hubby had the Pearch, delish. For dessert- can't go wrong with the carrot cake.“
“Our server, Jessica was terrific! Our table had individuals with dietary restrictions and she worked with us and the chef to make sure that all of our needs were met. She was concerned and professional when our food arrived and took extra care while being pleasant and patient. Along with lobster bisque.The bisque for me was good, my friend said “ it smelled fishy”.The sandwiches were great! The fries were hot.Beers were $3.50 which is great for the area.We will come back“
“I'm here very frequently, so I may be a bit biased.The burgers and fries here are reminiscent of the first time you ever tried Five Guys, in all the best ways.Nobody at this bar is looking for a bad time, you're surrounded by island vibes and you'll feel like you're having a cheeseburger in paradise.Also, the staff are all incredibly helpful including the owner - he's about 7ft tall 250lbs, you can't miss his smiling face.I recommend the onion rings and the Awesome Sauce. Don't skip it!“
“Great family owned original American dive bar with best pizzas in Midwest! Sandwiches are very good also and pretty much everything i ate there.The owner is the nicest guy, if you ever met him, you know!Good selection of beer and the people are friendly. They also have daily discounts and deals for drinks and food.Every time i come to Ohio this is my go to place. In the summer they have great patios and even a tiki bar right on the water with a view!10/10!“

“Ordered last night via Doordash. Loved it. Again. Not sure if the giant joint I smoked an hour beforehand had something to do with it, but super tasty. I loved that lake erie monster pizza and the pretzel came super soft and delicious. I also had these pepperoni things that were really simple but done extremely well. A little pricey? Nah, that's on me. I tipped the driver 15 bucks. Not sure if it's worth it, but I wanted to make someone's day special. I hope it worked. The food certainly made it a nice evening home, relaxing after a long week at work. Thanks guys. ?“

“If you’re looking for a really good breakfast that is not expensive, the Cold Creek Cafe is a good choice! This was my first visit and my wife and I have decided to make it a Saturday morning routine. Try the steak and eggs with trash potatoes. Don’t forget to add peppers and onions with cheese on top. The coffee is good! Much better than most other breakfast cafes. The two of us had a large breakfast that cost us $23. Very well done!“
“We stopped here for a quick snack and we're very much surprised. We got the bavarian pretzels and bratwurst, and they were delicious. there is outside seating and the chocolate cafe is inside. the wait for 5 pretzels was reasonable, and we will definitely be returning to the biergarten.“
“Love the location across from the lake! I like the really cute, beachy, vibe outdoor seating/bar. (Like being somewhere tropical) Inside is just as cute with great food and service. Very reasonably priced! We go see our favorite bartender, Jen.....who is always a joy for us to be around. Go check it out if you haven't....it will not disappoint! We never sit at the tables, but I can tell you the waitresses are on top of it and very nice as well!“

“If you’re looking for 5 star resort this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a good time and safe place ( any spot on the island is safe) this is your spot. My very first time on the island and even though the bar is a little run down this year and they’re obviously not taking care of the place as they should, I still had an absolute great time on middle bass.“

“The bar was ok but the bartenders weren't real friendly. The margaritas were good but they are known for their Bloody Mary's and I didn't like it at all. The food was subpar. Still probably the best dive bar in town. The location is good because it's away from downtown and unique to the area.“
“When we arrived at 9:45, they were only operating the fryers and pizza oven. We got chicken tenders with fries and a “lickin chicken” pizza. It did not disappoint! Hot and delicious. The bartender was great and very attentive. It was our first time here and we will be back. Great atmosphere too.“
