I also paid extra for cassata flavor and there were barely any strawberries or custard inside. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on a cake ($145) but also the worst tasting cake I’ve ever had. It was really disappointing since it was very expensive and looked so amazing but it was very important that the design on the cake was perfect and a lot of bakeries told me they couldn’t do the design idea -so I just accepted it. “What a great experience this is! Some background: I have never been to Cleveland, but i came to visit my BESTIE! She picks me up from the airport and the FIRST place we go is here! She told me we are going to a really cool coffee place. If she says it is...IT IS! And that was an understatement. The atmosphere calls for sitting here FOR HOURS (if i lived here, we would have!). They have books, games, art on the wall. AND THEY HAVE COFFEE!!! Normally, you might say coffee is coffee, but i now call it the Roasted Exception! As soon as we walked in, we were given STELLAR service by this wonderful red-headed (did not know her name) barista. She was friendly, helpful, and quite knowledgeable (and she laughed at my jokes too, which should give her a Nobel for kindness). My first stop in Cleveland was here, where we went to a back room, which had the most charming furniture. I was in such a state of elation being here and the coffee. Although i had the normal drip with cream; it was truly some of the smoothest that i have had. Did not need to re-make what they made for me. My BFF had the decaf oatmilk latte with chocolate, seemingly exceeding her expectations too. We had a great time here and enjoyed the tradition of "doing coffee". I recommend Roasted Lakewood wholeheartedly and would be here all the time if i lived here!! Oh, and bring a BFF like mine too just to enhance the experience!“

“Wow, this place was amazing! I found this place close to my hotel and I couldn't be happier. The strudel was on a different level. I stopped in early and think I may have been her first customer. She was so nice and welcoming! It was co to see her and her mother working on the pastries and her son was helping out too. Obviously an amazing family business. After showing me her process, I decided to go with a half apple and a half cheese. She warned me not to close the box as it just came out of the box and it would soften the flaky layers. I did exactly as told and ate on the strudel for 3 days. Eating strudel warm and fresh out of the oven was a religious experience. So flaky and light. Both flavors were outstanding! “I last came to Larder years ago back in 2018 or so and getting the Tuesday lunch special - $5 Chicken Sandwiches. I remember it being the best fried chicken sandwich I had ever had in my life - huge juicy thigh meat covered in a crunchy doubled fried exterior. Since then, Larder has been winning awards left and right. Since we were visiting Cleveland, I was so excited to visit Larder again and get their delicious sandwich. Unfortunately we came on a bad day - the previous night, a severe thunderstorm had knocked out the fryer and vents and Larder had to remove all of their fried items from the menu. They also were having oven troubles, so they ended up opening 30 minutes late. We got there over 30 minutes before they opened and a line of people started forming already. Pastrami Reuben ($18) - This is not your typical pastrami; this is thick, 1 cm cut savory salty pastrami, cut kind of like corned beef. The bark is still attached which is soft in some portions but crisp in others. ??? skome flavor??The meat is super tender and easy to eat. There's a thin layer of flavorful fat in some areas. There's cabbage slaw added on the bottom which adds a nice tang to balance out the fatty and meat of the pastrami. Thousand island spread on the top and bottom slices of bread adds additional moisture and sweetness. Everything is placed in the middle of two perfectly toasted slices of rye. Babka ($9) - Absolutely chock full of chocolate, the bread is pretty dense and rich. Pieces of crumbs easily flake off when you're eating this. There's some cinnamon mixed with the chocolate. If I'm ever back in town, I would get the chicken sandwich for the nostalgia.“

“I happened upon Sweet Revolution! in a Google Search, and I am thrilled I did! Michelle is patient, kind, and flexible. We ordered the dessert trays and the dessert shots, and the food was heavenly! Everything was prepared exactly as described but tasted even better than I imagined. It was delivered on-time and the tray presentation was beautiful with wonderful variety.
