Barbeque Restaurants near Saint Marys

“We happened to pass Dave’s on a Labor Day road trip. It’s right alongside the road, but it’s easy to miss. I had the wings dinner and my wife had the chicken chunks dinner. The wings were big and juicy. They were not deep fried, so the skin was a little chewy. The chicken chunks look to be breast meat cut up. If they were breaded, it was very light. They were juicy and there were plenty of them. Meals come in a container with baked beans, a roll, and a bag of chips. The beans have their own bbq sauce in them. This is a tomato base sauce. Not my first choice normally, but it was very good. The same sauce is provided on or with each meal. It’s about an hours drive from home, so I probably won’t go there often due to the limited seating. But it’s a great place to get good bbq and go to the lake and have a picnic.“

“Stopped for gas & see a sign for BBQ - missed ribs because only Fri/sa/sun....but the salad w/smoked chicken was GREAT!! ...fresh tasty food totally unexpected, had some home made cookies on the counter for dessert too!.., and yeah filled the tank quickly !“
