“When planning a small birthday celebration for our daughter the first thought of food that crossed our mind was Great Lakes Grinders. We contacted them and easily selected a tray of our favorite grinders along with our favorite pasta salad and potato salad. The day we picked everything up was a breeze! The excitement to be able to eat a tray of grinders and sides in February was over the top! Every bite was amazing! Out of town friends experienced their first taste of Great Lakes Grinders and shared their appreciation for the deliciousness! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a grinder!”

About 5 minutes and it arrived and it looked absolutely delicious. First impression very happy looked clean and very beautiful. The broth was unreal, very flavorful and rich taste with the Soy and Ginger taste. This food was incredible well made and made with love. I would definitely comeback again great service and atmosphere ❤❤❤”

Charity, the restaurants’ general manager, and her team went above and beyond to make the evening so incredibly memorable and perfect. Charity made sure Mr. Sortino himself stopped by to meet us and spend time with us- making our night even more special 💕. Don’t even get me started on the food! Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the Chicken Marsala and the Anti-Pasta Board. Only complaint is how far away from us Sortino’s is (we live in Virginia) ☺️. “My daughter and I came in this afternoon after volunteering for the iron man we were starving… we sat at another downtown restaurant for over 20 minutes being completely ignored while everyone around us was being served so we ended up leaving and coming here… we sat outside a women greeted us at the door apologized and said there was only one server outside so it might be a minute.. which was amazing considering the last place we were at. We had a guy server can’t remember his name but he was great.. even though we did wait for a minute it was okay because we were acknowledged and not ignored. Server was super friendly and nice the food was DELICIOUS! 10/10 experience, we will definitely be back!”

Sometimes I feel worried when a venue as too many things in menu, but with our family we had a broad selection and all was fantastic!! Don’t hesitate to venue out to this spot!!! Will be back again guaranteed!!! A++”

“After an appt my husband had in Norwalk we stopped here for the first time in 10 years since I became gf. It was a magical Christmas wonderland as soon as we opened the door! Decked to the hilt and the special holiday menu was Christmas all the way with drinks too. I had a cold iced cocoa that had a rim of Vanilla Icing dipped in marshmallows! Are you KIDDING ME?🎄”

“I’ve never eaten anywhere that you could so easily tell that everything was made in house. The food was absolutely incredible with their meatballs being our favorite item. The steaks were cooked perfectly with a fresh sear that stayed on the outside and such a tender and even cook inside. Decor is really cute and made a great dinner date atmosphere. Our server was great. Super attentive and really engaging when she did stop by.”

I only took one star on the overall rating because seating was cramped, but then again I am 6'5" so I guess that makes a difference. However what make my experience exceptional was the service. Our waitress name was Dianna. Wow, she is awesome. She took care of us better than any waitress that I have had probably ever, and that is saying something because I've been around for a wh ile and love to eat out. She kept our drinks full and everytime we needed something she was there and got it for us quickly and didn't forget anything. And believe me, they were super busy, but our family needs were met very very quickly and always with a smile. Dianna, I hope you and your boss can read this, I want to thank you for such a great experience. You have a new customer at least as long as you work there.”

They’re always happy to adjust things to your tastes, and as someone with a gluten allergy, it means a lot that they genuinely take it seriously and go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of. My fiancé Chad and I also love browsing the beautiful antiques, upcycled items, and plants. It makes every visit feel like a little experience beyond just stopping in. Over time, the staff have become friends, and we’ve even met new friends along the way while spending time there. It’s also one of our favorite places to bring people who are visiting or to introduce friends to, because we know they’ll love it as much as we do. We also love their trivia nights on Thursdays. It’s always a fun reason to come back and spend time there. Patina Porch is one of those rare places that feels both special and comfortable at the same time, and we’re always happy to come back.”

“We visited last week while renting a condo about a block from Tony's for a week. We found this place by accident, just strolling thru town. Our son wanted wings and it was the first place with a menu our family of 4 could all agree upon. We came in from the back and up the patio to enter and weren't sure what to put expect. We were impressed with the interior and that it was the first restaurant (4th overall in Sandusky on our trip) with an adequate cooling system. We were all impressed with our choices. My husband had the Greek cheesesteak and loved it. I couldn't decide between the mac & cheese hot dog or the French Dip. Our server JP a suggested the French Dip and I have to say it is one of the best I've ever had. I think their seasoned mayo is what makes their sandwiches! The daughter and I both got the mac and cheese. She said it was the best mac & cheese she's ever had and she's never impressed. If we are ever back in Sandusky, we're definitely coming back!”

“I was really impressed with the service in the bakery today. It's 2 days until Thanksgiving, so of course they were super busy. I needed a Boston Cream Pie for my son's birthday. I asked for help because I couldn't find one, and Jen went in the back to look (twice), got one out of the freezer, and then wrote on it for me with icing, smiling the whole time. I could have cried, because I didn't want to disappoint my son, but Jen delivered! Many thanks Jen! Also, Cathy, the cashier, is another gem. “Of course, the chicken was excellent. Perfect. Juicy. But I have to write a review because of the customer service. Just excellent. We saw a young boy from another family accidentally drop his food. He was devastated. And the staff jumped right at it and took care of everything! Told him it was okay, promptly got him some new food, and cleaned it up with compassion and grace. Just great to see.”

“my wife and I tried Cheekz last night for the first time. We ordered two burgers and an app and everything was beyond amazing. This may be the best burger I've ever had. Here's the best part, my burger was a mistake and I was given the wrong burger. Best mistake ever and I'll get it again (inferno burger). The owner stopped by and chatted for a bit and our waitress had owned her goof, even though we were completely content; we were sent off with my original ordered burger and my wife was given a duplicate to make up for it. incredible service, staff and food! We'll definitely be back.”
