“When we stood on a corner in Downtown Wapakoneta looking lost and confused on a Sunday afternoon, an older gentleman with a cane approached and asked if we needed help. We replied that we were looking for food but weren't sure which direction to walk. He gave us information and directions to four different restaurants. J Marie's was one of those four, and the wood-fired food called to us. It was just a short walk from where we were.My husband and I ordered what we thought were personal sized pizzas (we had leftovers!!!) and our son got the "bison burger" with red potatoes after hearing two recommendations from local people (and seeing the burger delivered to the guy at the next table). We also added the sausage stuffed mushrooms. The food was delicious and it was all prepared in one of two wood-fired brick ovens (seen behind Michael's head in the one picture).I want to return to try some of the other wood-fired items on the menu.Staff was very attentive during our visit. Several people checked on us throughout the course of the meal. Great personalities, too. They made us feel welcome.“
