“What a wonderful experience. We were actually in route to eat somewhere else nearby but it looked to be way too crowded. While driving around I notice The Gateway Diner and decided to try it.Wow. The food was great. The environment was great. The service was fantastic. This will definitely be a new breakfast and lunch spot for us.“
“I usually visit this bar on a Tuesday when my favorite bartender Tiffany is pouring up the drinks. My friends and I Love her, she makes you feel welcomed in any establishment she's working at. Her station is always very Tidy and she pays attention to detail. Tuesday is their "Taco Tuesday ? " night and they have a couple of taco options for the low. This is also one of my places that offer fresh cut fries ? ? ? as well. It's a nice big roomy space with a big bar. Good place to host a party. But I recommend you request Tiff to be your barmaid and make sure you tip my girl right ?“
“The staff is always kind, quick and patient, we always get seated in one minute or less, I get the toast, eggs and sausage and it always comes out in around 9 minutes. Relatively quick for a restaurant, I also say the chocolate milk has usually been an 8/10! It is usually crowded but that's not for no reason! Best breakfast in Wickliffe/willowick.Kid-friendliness: Great options for children, they also don't mind if any kids bring toys in.“
“Lisa D & Frank Amato are da balm! Soooooo many excellent singers it feels like you're in the middle of a concert, or putting on one. Food is excellent. the girls behind the bar are pleasant. ownership is accommodating. Come join us and have some “
“I first came here for lunch in March 2023 after they first opened and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, they no longer offer lunch service, but I highly recommend for a nice night out! Such a cute cozy place inside and I love that they've been doing themed pop up bars. I can't wait to try out their patio in the summer!“
“Pancakes the size of my head with fresh blueberries, and the staff seem to be close and know their customers. A little hectic on a Saturday morning with a ton of pickup orders but plenty of seating. Also a lot of really cool artwork on the walls.“
“Good staff Good service Good food. Very clean inside and out. Just an all around great place for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable and Tina is unreasonable but that’s the best part about the whole experience. It’s all clean fun.?Kid-friendliness: I have a son with autism and he very much in joys going there for breakfast there always kind to him and he likes the atmosphere and fun the staff has when working in a busy investment.“
“Atmosphere? It’s a gas station but with a very nice convenient store and a FANTASTIC kitchen!Wanted a Smash Burger but they were out. ? But… I had a Reuben and it was delicious! Corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese, sauce and grilled to perfection! We also ordered an Italian Sub - also delicious! Fries were crispy and fresh. Everyone agreed the onion rings were out of this world!Truly a hidden gem in Novelty!“
“Delicious very large portions.vegetarian and was concerned that the vegetarian couscous seemed to be the only option. It was truly special and was anything but a hardship. The 4 of us shared a salad and could have shared all our dishes as we all came home with half our terrific meals.Loved the photographs and the manager was forthcoming about the restaurant, his story of the area and the locale. Thank you for a great experienceVegetarian options: Limited… but delicious“
“Kailey was a breath of fresh air in the after math of 1 of the worst two (2) week periods my significant other have every had. With that, we decided & prayed to have a good evening wherever we go. God led us to Smokey Bones & it’s clear the reason was because we needed her + her energy! She accepted us with open arms, a warm personal, and a sense of connection to us that we never experienced with a server as a couple. All the stresses & worriers of the world went away during our time with Kailey! Thank God for her & the fact that your organization hired her. Please share the we will be forever grateful our time with & the opportunity for our fresh start to be reignited from her being simply awesome. We will be back to visit her & the rest of your wonderful team at the Mentor Smokey Bones!“
“We had been looking forward to going here for a few weeks, and it did not disappoint. Our simple breadboard and green herb mix salad appetizers were great. Our main meal of sandwiches and salads were also very good, but the best part of the meal was the Red Velvet Cake, which was to DIE FOR.In short, we would definitely come back.“
“A very vast selection to choose from drink and food wise. Great prices, awesome food. The place was absolutely packed wall to wall and service wasn't lacking. Our table had the Mardi Gras omelette, Chicken and Waffles and the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. No complaints, super tasty! Definitely my new favorite brunch spot! For the people who complain about waiting, you can simply join the wait-list online. It takes 10 seconds to fill out and submit. We had zero wait upon arrival because we utilized the wait-list.“
“Have been coming to Tommy's for decades and never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and exactly the way I remember. The place has a great vibe with excellent service, plants everywhere and funky mellow oldies playing. Love Tommy's! Please don't ever change a thing!“
“This is a terrific local diner. The eggs Benedict with hash browns are my favorite although their omelettes are great as well. My cousin always has a salad and she is always very pleased. Coffee is decent and continually topped off. They take credit cards now, which aids convenience. Lots of regulars and a friendly environment.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by the Northstar cafe. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before Sunday mass. The food came out quick and was delicious. Was a bit sad that they didn’t have a wider latte selection, but the atmosphere and food made up for it. There’s a coffee shop close by at Van Aken Market.“
“Food was great , customer service and atmosphere was good , prices are a little high , simply because there’s no combos everything is priced separately for example if you get a burger the fries are separate and the drink is separate but I’m overall pleased and definitely will be “
“Went there for my daughter's birthday. Enjoyed a great evening. Her food came out a bit late and though we were enjoying our time, they went out of their way to make it better - they bought a round of drinks, took her dinner off the tab and gave her a "Borgata" snow cap. In addition they had the whole place sing "Happy Birthday". Couldn't have had a better time or a better group of people running the place. Can't wait to go back.“
“My favorite local hangout spot, the service is always top tier and the food is always on point! The wings are always great, the burgers big and juicy not overcooked, the brisket perogies are really good and the dill dipping sauce with fried pickles are delicious! Stop in if you're ever out this way, it's gonna be one of your favorites.“
“It’s always a fun time at The Fairmount! Food and drinks are delicious. I would recommend if you’re coming with a group to call ahead and make a reservation as the place is pretty much always packed in the evenings. We’ve done multiple times and they have both indoor and outdoor dining. The patio is very nice and dog friendly.“
“Been here a handful of times over the past year. Mainly for their golf simulator. They have 2 bays. Super spacious there with a couple TVs. The cost of the simulator was only $20/hr on a Wednesday afternoon, took my 4 year old! It was great time to spend with her and hang for a bit. Played here with buddies in the past too, and just on my own dialing in my clubs. Never crowded during the week. And again, the cost of a bay during the week is about $25! CANNOT beat that! The bar itself is rather huge. LOTS of TVs, sportsbook, etc. Solid draught lineup always. Their bartenders and staff might be some of the nicest people. Always enjoyable convo and just super pleasant folks.I have ate here a few times and its pretty standard bar food. Nothing fancy, but a solid meal nevertheless! If you are thinking of going here...do it! You wont be disappointed. Book a bay online before you go and hit some balls while you drink and eat!Kid-friendliness: They threw on some cartoons for my 4 year old while he hit some golf balls. Didn't even ask! Solid stuff.“
“A couple of times a year I come to Mentor to visit friends for a weekend, and everytime I make it a point to have breakfast here every morning.Friendly efficient staff, great food, and a comfortable atmosphere. I don't think I need to say more.“
“First time getting food from Trader Jack's and it was amazing! I got the Big Jack which is a double stack burger very similar to a Bob's Big Boy, BUT BETTER IN EVERY WAY. It's like a Big Boy for adults. Everything about it was perfect, especially the sauce. Fries were excellent as well. Staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“Great food. Menus need to be updated though. Food price showed was not what was charged, usually a dollar or so more per item. Not a huge deal as I would have gotten it anyways but would have been nice to know. Also please note in the menu you don’t serve lunch til 10 am. Also would have been “
“Very good food, locally owned. Owned. Not a chain. Pleasant atmosphere. In a quaint downtown area.Parking: There's some on street parking but most of the parking is behind the shopping center and also across the street of the behind the shopping center lot“
“The specials all sounded really good. I got a pineapple margarita, fried onion with fried breaded green beans in a citrus soy glaze, general tso breaded chicken sandwich and onion rings with a killer horseradish dipping sauce. Everything was great. Service was busy and working on closing the kitchen so they were a little distracted but still very friendly. Definitely recommend trying this place.“
“Big Al's is always my favorite breakfast place. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. The food is always hot and fresh and I've never had a bad experience here. I remember when I went to Life skills down the street. I would always stop here for the homefries with onions and pepper and a side of bacon. I've tried other things on the menu like the potato pancakes, but nothing compares to my fav. The #1 or #2 which is eggs, homefries, with sausage/bacon. Doesn't matter which one I get because I always get a side of the breakfast meat that doesn't come with it. The procedure has always been reasonable even though I remember when it was once $5. It's now $9.75 but even if it went up to $20 I'd still get it.Parking: The parking lot is a little tight.“
“Phenomenal fish fry...and don't need to experience it just during Lent! The grouper sandwich and batter dipped filet is available all the time. And with tater tots and slaw, it doesn't get much better! Hoppin' busy Friday night.“
“We recently visited Peties after a hiatus (I moved out of the area 9 years ago). The food was still as delicious as ever! A great brunch with a waffle covered in strawberries, home fries, and coffee. Service was attentive and food was delivered quickly. The decor was updated but the layout was still the same. TVs playing TBS which had episodes of Seinfeld and also listed as a Pokestop (for any Pokémon Go players). The restaurant is consistently busy but never seems crowded. Definitely recommend for those in and around the area.“
“Food here is really good with an extensive menu and large portions. The hamburgers are thick and made how you like it. If you like fish, you have to try their dish named, "the uncommon," because it is breaded with just the right amount and fills the plate. It's light and fluffy, comes with vegetables or fries, and cole slaw. Staff is pretty friendly and prices are reasonable.“
“Italian food at its best! Long surviving family owned restaurant with generous portions of tasty well prepared offerings. Any chicken dish is superb…piccata, Marsala, parmigiana, genovese…ummm. Outstanding thin crusted gluten free pizza made spectacular with mozzarella cheese (mushroom & sausage added). Incredible steak salad. Wonderful Merlot house wine. Tasty bread rolls. Fabulous Italian wedding soup. Wonderful servers and staff. And earn reward points to apply to a future meal. And the take-out Family Packs are a fantastic price with an abundance of food. We love this place, truly love it!“
“I discovered Rudy's Pub to be a charming establishment with its own unique character, and I can't wait to visit again. The food my son and I ordered was excellent, and the service was top-notch. I especially enjoyed the karaoke session , who made me feel right at home. If you're seeking a night out filled with fun and surrounded by good-hearted people, Rudy's Pub is the place to be! I'll definitely be returning.“
“I had looked up this place because I wanted to go somewhere nice, and I can say that it was great. There was live trivia going on which was pretty cool and we thought that the pizza sizes were going to be small, but to our surprise, they were actually pretty big. So, we were able to take some home. Our waiter, I think his name was Pat, was absolutely great. 10 out of 10, would recommend.“
“Awesome. Servers ran around like chickens with their heads removed. They were friendly and delivered crab after crab. This is the real deal, the crab was fresh not over cooked and delicious, the redskin potatoes were the bomb. I can't wait to go back and feel guilty telling others about this secret¡“
“If you're looking for the cozy, coffee shop of bars, this is your place. The drinks are fantastic, AND the atmosphere is the real jewel here. This place feels like home away from home. Offering a warm, inviting space for conversation or reflection year-round and a cute, little patio great for enjoying another's company or doing a little people watching in the warmer months, The Whiskey Bar does not disappoint. Oh, and you'll often be pleasantly surprised by some live music or snacks that will only brighten an already wonderful time!“
“We loved this small, dimly-lite restaurant and cocktail bar.Vegetarian options: This is a steak and seafood restaurant with a limited variety of vegetarian side dishes, but those vegetable sides were delicious. Our carnivore friends were equally impressed with our generous and tasty vegetarian sides.“
“Stong enough for a meat eater. PH balanced for a vegetarian. Everything is great here from the seating, drinks, food, and staff. This is a shining example of balance between pro and anti meat eaters should expect.Vegetarian options: Great options. Don't hesitate to go here.“
“Service was slow. Food was awesome, like usual. Love this restaurant. Would love it more if it didn't take so long to get our order.Parking: MayfieldKid-friendliness: Have been eating here for years. Enough options that most kids should find something to eat. Free popcorn.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to allow easy access into the building.“
“This was my 1st time here. First Watch was super busy, so we were in luck seeing this next door without a wait. We were seated right away.We started with an appetizer of meatballs. The meatballs are normal in size. Not like some places that give you ginormous ones. Fine! It's 3 of them, and they come in a small cast iron skillet, swimming in marina sauce, covered in ricotta and some other cheeses, along with several pieces of garlic bread on the side. I'm picky about marina sauce. I don't like it chunky. This 1 was perfect. The right mix of flavor and not chunky. These meatballs were very, very good. I was very impressed. The bread was great, too. You can own my heart with good bread ? ?We both ordered burgers ? If you follow me, you know I like a good burger and a good steak. I got the original cheeseburger with bacon added, and my son got the double stack smash burger. My burger was so thick. I tried my best to eat half. It was delicious ? No complaints ? The burger gods are pleased. The fries were ok. Basic, regular fries ? Not bad, but definitely won't be the reason you return. I'll return because I'm sure there is more I would like to try in the future.“
“Our first time and it was wonderful! We stopped with our kiddos for a late lunch after some Sunday skyzone fun. It was also during football playoffs and we had never been so we weren't sure what to expect! ALL the servers were so friendly, everyone worked as a team to deliver a fantastic experience and great food! When we left our server told our kids to have a great week at school. I just thought that was so sweet. I can safely recommend this place for family fun as well as a great spot to belly up and watch Sunday football! A healthy blend! We'll definitely be going back and highly recommend!“
“This food is delicious! I hear tell from Mother Darling that the community has ranked their hamburger sandwiches very high compared to the competition; second place, I'm told. I will need to try one! Also, that barkeep named Larry is very lively! Mother Darling and I always enjoy his company.“
“Went here with my girlfriend. Have been here several times before. An issue we had this time that never was an issue before is that the gravy that came with the biscuits and gravy breakfast was runny instead of being thick. It did not look very appetizing. The Works is my go to and usually comes out well. The pomegranate brunch drink is amazing! Would definitely recommend.“
“Visiting from SC. Stopped after a long drive. I had the French onion soup and cheesy garlic bread. Both were good. My husband had the Chicken sandwich. He was not a fan. It was just an ok sandwich. Chicken did Not have any flavor. Slaw was okay.Wait staff was friendly. Fast service. Atmosphere was food. I thought it was a little pricey.“
“The best pizza in this area!! We tried many pizzas in different restaurants but my boyfriend and I agreed that Abo's pizza was the best. Their crust/dough was so good and had an excellent flavor. It was relatively thin but could hold the toppings. We had one of their specialty pizzas, Mediterranean, together with a Caesar salad. Large pizza was more than enough to share for two people. Service was good, prices were reasonable but we thought $10 for a piece of cheese cake was a bit steep. Anyways, we will go back there for sure.Update:We went back & ordered Calamari, Margarita Pizza (BEST) , Linguine with Calamari, & Gnocchi. Ordering a bottle of wine for three of us worked perfectly ?“
“Definitely a fun place to watch sports with a lot of TVs! Consistent food with many choices. Overstuffed sandwiches have been my favorite since the 90's! Great outdoor patio! Only reason I didn't give a 5 star, is the newer staff could be a little more friendly! Old staff they had for several years was the best! Unfortunately Covid caused that with most of the food establishments. Still a great place to frequent!“
“My husband and I stopped here around noon on a Tuesday and there was no wait for a table. We had never been, and wanted to try it. Our server was friendly, but must have had a large section because it took her a while to get to us to take our orders. I got the salad bar and the battered fish dinner. It was just okay. The fish is like frozen fillets that were fried, and were greasy with some parts that had a weird texture. The French fries were standard, the green beans were literally canned green beans microwaved and put in a bowl (no butter, no salt or seasoning), and the salad bar was sub par. They have a very basic selection, and the soups were nothing fancy. I do not recommend getting the salad bar only for your meal, it's not very substantial. My husband got the breakfast, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage patties, home fries. He said it was good, but the server forgot to bring him his sausage patty and instead he got extra gravy. We asked her for the patty and instead she came back with the roll I was supposed to get with my dinner. She did finally bring the sausage but my husband was waiting for 5-10 minutes to eat the rest of his breakfast. I felt like tables around us got more attention, and it wasn't like there was a wait for tables. There were empty ones around us. I would try it again, but would get something different, maybe breakfast. It's not anything to scream about, but is an option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!“
“Everything was great as usual and the service was excellent. Served with a smile and a Santa hat! They gave me my vegan breakfast as usual. My veggie omelet with no eggs and no cheese hash browns. Well done and a plain toasted bagel. And my husband had his usual sunrise breakfast! I love this cute little place and the smell of toast that I get when I walk in. I also have another vegan option for breakfast which is the oatmeal with walnuts and strawberries. So it is definitely my go-to place for breakfast. As a person who chooses not to eat much meat. It is small and a little tight in there but that is part of its charm!Vegetarian options: I have never had a problem getting them to make something vegan for me. Which many people are vegetarian would eat. They have the veggie omelette so if you are a vegetarian and eats eggs and cheese that is always an option and they have oatmeal and waffles. All these things that have vegetarian to eat but they do not have vegan butter. But if you are a vegetarian that eats butter, you're fine. Also plenty of salads and I do believe they have a vegetarian patty or burger. And they have no problem. Sauteing vegetables for you but they have on hand. The sweet potato fries are great so there are less of options here for people who are vegetarian and even vegan.“
“Nice little Bar that has been in business for 32 years. Clean and comfortable. This past St. Patrick's Day, the line was out the door for their corned beef sandwiches. I hear their food is pretty good. Will check out the mushroom swiss burger soon.“
“Our first time here, we weren't sure what to expect. Local bar atmosphere but everyone was so friendly, even the other patrons. My Porch burger was excellent and prices very reasonable. Bonus, they are dog friendly! We'll be back.“
“It’s a cozy sports bar in a lively area of town. The food is great, and at a decent price. Th staff are pleasant and inviting, plus you’ll often find the owner himself working alongside the staff. It may not be the flashiest, but I can’t think of many places as welcoming as this!“
“I love this place. I love this place so much. The food is homemade, and tastes every bit like you had grandma at home making it for you while Columbo plays in the living room. The drinks are good. Bartenders and staff are always friendly. They have pool, which is a huge huge huge thing for me. I'm not the best, but I love to play some pool and listen to the Jukebox. It's truly a nice little gem!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
