The waitress Shelby, was phenomenal! She got to us right away when we had not gotten to order just quite yet. She was very kind and up beat. She gave me a very delicious COLD Rootbeer in the classic ice mug. She let me and my significant other know what was the tastiest on the menu. My family has been coming to this place for many years, but far less recently. The catfish here is very inconsistent. There are days I’d easily give it 5 stars: it’s freshly cooked, juicy, delicious, and with the perfect balance of meat and breading. I like the '50's decor & the service is top notch! I've recommended them to friends. The fried mushrooms appetizer is hand battered goodness. But my problem is with the chicken fingers/fried fish basket. I'm not sure how you turn out the most golden perfect fried fish... then the chicken fingers appear way over cooked in "past time to change" oil.
