Wanted to try the local BBQ as 4 of us were heading out hiking. The menu has several choices but today, we're out of a few things. The food came out pretty quickly. The choice of BBQ sauces was bulk purchased, not homemade.. disappointing as I can buy sweet baby rays anywhere in the US.. On to the food.. the BBQ chicken was way over cooked and REALLY dry. I'm going to start this review with a deep thought I had perusing this menu: What did we call Freedom Fries before #cancelculture changed their names because a country we were allied with wouldn't go to war with us...a war no one will admit to supporting here in 2021? I can't remember, and neither can you. Regardless, Freedom Fries are a side here! Firehouse is A-OK BBQ. I got a plate with 3 meats and 2 sides. Just found out this place has closed and that's unfortunate. The French fries were so good! The BBQ food was great as well, that's a bummer if they're permanently closed.
