“It’s our first visit here and it was okay. We went for my wife’s birthday dinner and were not received as expected despite of my instructions. The food was good. Hummus di Tahina is delicious. Crab and lobster cake is also yummy. Chicken Saltimbocca is just average. Bread pudding is okay not as delicious as explained in some reviews. Overall it’s a new experience for us. “My wife and I wanted a quiet Valentine's lunch/dinner so chose to go on the 19th at 3PM. Metro has always been our favorite spot for special occasions and it still is! The smoked salmon appetizer was outstanding! So was the French onion soup. Then we split the crab cakes entree which were quite good. I would probably choose something else next time. There is an excellent wine list with great selections by the glass that have reasonable prices for these times. Service was superb and we were at our favorite table as well! Overall could not have been more pleasant.“

“I alternate between the Yasai and the Spicy Miso ramens, and they NEVER disappoint! The people there are always so wonderful. “I know I give a lot of five star reviews but to be fair, I only go to awesome places. One of my favorite things to do is come up here with a book, mid afternoon and sit at the bar. I always get the Thai beef salad (bc why mess with perfection?) and order the Austin East pineapple cider. Cash, she is my FAVE bartender, will take the best care of you. It's definitely a sports bar inside, it can get loud at times but like right now is perfect. All the food I've had is amazing. I'm also a huge fan of the republic burger. 10/10“

“This was from the Edmond location.The gluten-free vegan cupcakes were really good. Got a variety to try since it was my first time in. They were all moist with good spring to the crumb had a texture similar to the normal thing. The frostings had flavors you would expect, mostly. However, I have zero confidence in being able to serve these to anyone with food intolerances and forget anyone with allergies.The kitchen was open and very clean, so while cross contamination could happen I didn't see anything that sparked my concern from a preparation cleanliness side. But it could happen as they do use AP wheat flour so true Coeliacs need to be ware.My biggest frustration is other then general broad labels for vegan and gluten free nothing is clearly labeled, not with what it is (ding dong or cinnamon roll/snickerdoodle?) or with the ingredients. One cupcake had an amareto flavor I wasn't expecting, and another I thought would have hints of ginger had none. And the rest of the selections were handled with an arm wave as being ok. I try to trust my servers, but when the regular versions look exactly the same, I get worried. Espically, when the cases are similarly as full.I took the risk for a treat (and I have intolerances more than allergies), but there is no way I could recommend this lack of clarity to someone managing their health with food avoidance.I don't know if they used a flax egg or aquafaba, or a starch fake egg. IDK if potato or corn are used in the mix, or if it is coconut and cassava. Probing for more information was not very helpful when I called the OKC store or asked at this store.Gluten-free friendly and vegan are a nice niche for people on volountary diets, but the current lack of detailed labeling makes this bakery a real dice game for anyone with genuine health issues stemming from food intolerances/allergies. Until they share their formulas, more specifically and openly, and train their staff to answer questions more readily without playing 20 questions, anyone with allergies and intolerances should stear clear.I am really sad writing this review because I really want to see more gluten-free and vegan options that taste this good. The product was really spectacular, and they deserve their rave reviews and awards! “We have been here several times and it’s our favorite place to come for margaritas and chips and salsa! However this last visit was a little disappointing to say the least. We sat down at 4:00 on a Saturday with maybe 3 other customers in the restaurant. We were seated and waited on by the same person. She seemed a little annoyed to be there in general but we brushed it off as she may be having a bad day. We ordered drinks and one of our party asked for a non-spicy michelada, the waitress/bartender stated “well that’s kinda the point so we can’t do that” my friend was very caught off guard by this response as a simple “im sorry it’s a premix that has already been made” would have sufficed. I asked to clarify even if she thinks it’s not the point to drink a spicy drink if it was premixed or if that was just her opinion. She still never answered the question. We ordered our food and when asked if we could add chicken to the spinach mushroom quesadillas there was a long pause, she closed her eyes and then after a short time answered yes. After this interaction our server was switched to someone else not because we asked or complained to anyone about the situation. I don’t know if she was having a bad day but honestly the whole experience ruined the mood for our group. I still love this place and the food but it will definitely make me think twice before returning. We have never had an issue like this and are always greeted with wonderful hospitality and friendly servers.“
