But the brisket........OOOOO! THE BRISKET WAS PHENOMENAL!!!!! Added the hot bbq sauce even though the meat was perfect without it, and it got even better. Found a new place to love! Thanks OkieQ!!Parking: Most people were swinging through the drive thru and grabbing it to-go, so that did leave plenty of parking even on a Friday night.Kid-friendliness: The building has a small covered area with 2 picnic tables and it has a grassy area behind where the kiddos can run and play while you wait for your food.“
“20240315T1240 - Arrived at 12:40 and was able to order right away. I ordered the hot link sandwich as part of the Friday special, which includes your choice of regular sandwich, chips, and a 16 oz fountain drink for $9.99. I also ordered the Chicago style hot dog. The total was $14.72 and I had my order in about 8 minutes. Staff was very friendly, helpful. If you are paying with a card and wish to tip on it, you have to tell them before they run it. I ordered to-go, which will be important later. I got back to my company's breakroom with my meal. They do not skimp on portions!!! 1.5 hot links in the sandwich, sliced lengthwise and extending past the large hamburger bun. Slaw and BBQ sauce on top. However, I failed to account for drive time, and the sauces sogged up the bottom bun around the edges. I HATE soggy bread, but to my surprise the bun held up and didn't detract form the experience. The hotdog was also delicious. Inspired by Chicago style hotdogs, with a few substitutions, such as pepperoncini peppers for sport peppers, and poppyseeds on top for poppyseed bun. But it was still delicious and toppings almost overflowing the bun. All in all, my current favorite barbecue in Muskogee.“
“My Place West is best! This is a long-held Muskogee argument on which location is the best one, and I've always been team West. East is great if you want buffet, but West just tastes better to me! The waitresses are all super nice, and it's cute and country inside. The daily specials are all great! My husband did the Friday night all you can eat ribs tonight, and I was drooling over them. Definitely use the spicy barbecue sauce. It's the best.“
“Took a suggestion from a coworker who used to live in Muskogee and he said he would come here when he was younger. This place did not disappoint!The waitresses were spot on and friendly. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks. They were not much selections with regards to appetizers so I ordered fries & onion rings. The onion rings were great however, at $7.59 I'm not exactly sure of the price, but they were exactly what I wanted in an onion ring.I chose the Two Meat Combo, Turkey & Chopped Brisket w/Potato Salad & Cole Slaw. Both meats were delicious and the Cole Slaw was a true hit! The Potato Salad was also good.Everyone in the group liked what they got so a big shout out to Mahylon's for the excellent lunch.Even I was checking out thy the waitress days she had been working there for 27 years! Then she began to tell me dinner off the highlights on the menu. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try them. Who knows I may just take a day trip up to grab lunch week my wife!My recommendation is if you are in Muskogee or just passing through and love barbecue this is a must try!!!“

“Last wk i visited the East store. The buffet was the 1st bbq buffet i hv ever seen. Its hard to do quality food for a buffet, we all know this. Its hard to make a profit from a buffet. Had all the meats and bbq beans and okra and mac. The ribs had good flavor but the meat didnt want to come off the bone. The jal sausage was my fav. The beans are comp with bbq joints. Funny ob here; they have a 'No Hunting' sign hanging with all the animal heads. Ha!“
“Oh my..smoked bbq that puts a smile on your face!! Seriously. Step out of your ride and inhale deeply. If you can't smell heavenly smoke, you have COVID. The ambiance is rugged country. The food and service is excellent. No slackers work here. We will travel thru Muskogee in the future and stop for lunch.“
