“This is hands down one of my favorite Mexican taco trucks in Norman. The mulitas are delicious, the pastor is too, but their star is truly the quesabirrias! The meat is so tender and the consommé is flavorful. Add some of their red salsa and it’s all spectacular. You can visit the taco truck and while you wait, you can go inside their building and order one of around 8 different aqua frescas. The pineapple, jamaica, frescas are so refreshing. I got strawberry cream today and it’s amazing too. They also have ice cream and all sorts of others Mexican frozen desserts. You can eat at one of the tables with umbrellas or you can go inside the building and eat at tables there. All of the women who operate 405 Yummy are incredibly kind as well. You simply can’t miss here.“
“Ate here a few weeks back and had a fabulous experience. The workers are attentive and kind, and the food is fresh!Today, I noticed I was missing my receipt from that visit and needed it to add to my expenses for work. I gave torcheys a call and was connected with Rayan. Rayan was professional, kind, and extremely helpful. She gathered all the information she needed to look up my previous order and told me she would do her best to find my receipt in the system. She asked for my number and told me should would be in touch. Within 10 minutes I received a text message with my receipt! This was so much quicker than I was expecting, and the customer service was above and beyond.Rayan is a dream employee, and I hope you all do everything you can to hold onto this team member! I travel to Norman every few months for work and will ABSOLUTELY be back after the experience I had.Thank you Rayan!!!!! :)“
“Very pleased with our experience today! The food was great (and I’m a spoiled Texan), they offered a nice variety of free salsas, they offered free sopapillas, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was truly 5 star. Our waiter was such a nice guy and he made my nephew feel so special for his birthday. We will be back when we visit!Kid-friendliness: They were great with our kids and made the birthday boy feel so special!“
“I found original food that I have never tried and it was good. That's what I go out for. They could probably change their fryer oil though. My dish was like a basil Alfredo spaghetti with a chicken fried steak parmesan. It was flavorful and very filling.“
“Miguel V was awesome. Drinks were always filled, food was quick and delicious. Extra veggies and chips, OMG even extra tortilla. Pricey but very worth it.Dietary restrictions: Great low carb options that most Mexican restaurants don't have.“
“Super chill yet deliciously amazing authentic Mexican food right across the street from OU campus. Counter top ordering, and very very sizable portions with even better price points. Quite an extensive selection of tequila too! Make sure you visit this place for lunch/dinner or a drink!“
“Family owned and operated. Great food, great service. A place that really feels like they appreciate your business. Great for breakfast or lunch. Santa Fe papas always hit, but everything is good. Check it out and you’ll see what I’m taking about.“
“I’m not giving a lower score, because it’s local and everyone has different tastes, and I’m a suburban white guy so take my opinions for what they are. But if you’re like me, I will offer my perspective:I won’t go here again, just simply because the food is very bland and doesn’t have much flavor to me. Some may like that. I didn’t think the consistency was amazing either. The food wasn’t bad or gross or anything, and the store was clean, although the men’s room was out of paper towels.I ordered carne asada street tacos and a burrito. I will say, I don’t think they are used to to-go orders so maybe just dine in if you’re going here. I got my food and there wasn’t any sauce or anything for the tacos. I went back in and politely asked for hot sauce and napkins. They gave em to me but he said “why didn’t you just eat inside?” so yeah I think they aren’t used to people taking food to go.Another interesting thing was when I was asking what comes in the burrito, I said well I know it’ll be good no matter what, and he said “it’s made by an actual real Mexican, so it’s going to be good” which I thought was weird. Mexicans make food everywhere, they are also in the kitchen at burger joints and all kinds of places. We are used to Mexicans making food, especially at Mexican restaurants so it’s nothing new. But I think he was just being friendly and chatty with me. Just kind of an off statement. The dude was probably Mexican himself btw, as he had explained to me that he has the best English out of anyone there but that it’s still not great. The chips and salsa and queso were good. No complaints there. Definitely nothing amazing, but I don’t even expect chips n salsa at a place that isn’t Tex Mex so that’s fine. I found it funny a dude made a review on here saying he had hoped for authentic Mexican food but was disappointed and didn’t like the queso LOL. Calling food authentic or not is just super vague and dumb anyway. If it’s real ingredients, the food is authentic. And if you’re wanting authentic Mexican, you’re not expecting queso..Anyway, that’s my experience. From a suburban white guy who enjoys taquerias, taco trucks, and Tex-Mex alike, I found this food to be bland, and I found the beans to be odd-tasting. But clearly there are many who like the food here so no hard feelings!“
“It’s a decent little Mexican spot! We went there for lunch and enjoyed it. The food came out VERY fast. I paid $12 for the quesadilla lunch portion and it was smaller than I expected for the price, so I’d recommend the “Make Your Own”. It has larger portion sizes and will be better bang for your buck. The waiter was not too intrusive but came just often enough to keep everything going.“
“Took the family to get some burgers.Got the mont burger, yum. Good solid burger at a good price. Onion rings And fries were good as well.Staff was friendly and patience (i asked a lot of questions). If it's a nice day you can sit outside.Parked one building over and walked in.Good stuff, enjoy!“
“This is my son and I favorite taco truck in Norman. Great service remember they even remembered what our preferences with ingredients were pretty quick. And super friendly. And I price you really can’t beat especially for how to it tastes! Only wish they took cards sometimes though. It’s worth going to the ATM for sure though..“
“Not one to leave reviews but this mexican truck is the best in norman. Yes tacos are small but they're cheap and closest I can find to being like the tacos at the blue food truck in OKC at NW 10th. I try to hit up every mexican food truck i see to include much of okc, del city, etc and id say this one is 2nd best ive had, but best in Norman. I think they do best with the lengua and pastor, but have yet to try the barbacoa or shrimp. The best part though is the pasole, best I ever had. And if you like spicy ask for the hot sauce or else you just get the standard mild green and red sauces.“
“Food was delicious. There was one person ringing up and taking out the orders. She was fast and efficient, even when it got busy. I got the Taco plate and my husband got the volcano plate. Great flavors, spicy, meat was moist. They had a salsa bar. It's a hidden gem in Norman.“
“This food truck is easy to miss, tucked next to a gas station just off I-35. Don't let appearances fool you, though, they have some of the best street tacos in Norman! All of their proteins are full of flavor with their chorizo being my personal favorite, and their tacos come with two great salsas and delicious pickled carrots/jalapenos. No fuss, great prices and all-around great food - just make sure to bring cash (there's an ATM at the gas station, though)!“
“We came here tonight for some carne asada tacos, they have a combo plate with 4 tacos, beans and rice which is nice. They were extremely delicious and flavorful. The green sauce had some kick to it. Didn't try that pepper because I know I would be dying later. We will definitely be back! Customer service was wonderful.“
“Hands down the best place to get your Mexican food craving satisfied. Wonderful family owners make sure you'll get excellent service. Besides enjoying their mexican food offerings, I also occasionally crave a few of their Peruvian dishes like Tallerin Saltado de Mariscos (seafood). And if you appreciate seafood ceviche, theirs is the best I've ever had anywhere. Throw in their Grande Margaritas on the rocks and it'll make for a great date night.“
“I had the barbacoa torta and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in my life. The meat was seasoned so well and was so tender; do yourself a favor and get it...or get 5; no judgement here. If you're looking for something spicy, get anything with chicharron. Al pastor... Chef's kiss. And you know the food is good when it still tastes fantastic the next day. I cannot recommend this food enough!“
“If you're a student, go here. It's $6 exactly for a massive burrito with beans, rice, lettuce, steak, salsa etc. It's filling and delicious, plus you get it in like 5 minutes. They take card and cash. Just skip all the other places on campus corner and go here. I've gone probably 6 times at this point when I'm stuck on campus for long hours. I've had the burrito and the gordita and both were delicious and well worth the money. I will be going back many, many times. Also they have a vegetarian option where they fry up some bell peppers and squash maybe? I'm not totally sure but it was still great. Final note, I'm always looking for the cheapest option for the most calories and just guessing based on what I've seen, this is probably the best option on campus corner.“
“I've been eating at this location since I was very young. It was where our family went for "Out on the Town," night. I got older and hadn't gone for many years untill around two weeks ago. The Nostalgia is still there... the music, the smells and the quest were exactly as I remembered. Will always return for those good ol' memories.“
“Went on a date here, and everything was amazing. I really loved how fast our food was brought to us and everything tasted amazing. I've never been to a mexican restaurant where you got cheese and salsa to start with chips so that was a big plus for me! Definitely looking forward to dining here again soon!!“
“I went for the first time with my children 3 days ago and we loved everything, the food, the service and everything was very good, the waitress was always attentive, everything was very clean and they didn't delay our food, they brought it quickly, what we loved most was the Guacamole was super delicious and of course I recommend the place, I would return to this restaurant with my children again ?“
“These 2 girls here live in Texas.. this is all they talk about is coming here to eat at Volcano's... and it is so nice that the staff here remembers them.. the food is already the best out here.. and the service just tops it off.. thank you again for another great visit for my granddaughters.. I think this place is sometimes the only reason they really come and visit me.. ?“
“We went here after a former student's college graduation, and it was absolutely delicious. To top it off, the atmosphere was pretty amazing too. I loved the close proximity to the college campus as well as how clean and fun it was. Great place to celebrate and catch up!“
“El Huevo Mexi-Diner is a Tex-Mex breakfast haven that promises a delightful start to your day. The staff here greet you with warmth, making you feel right at home from the moment you step through the door.Their coffee is top-notch, providing the perfect pick-me-up to kickstart your morning. And when it comes to the menu, The Hangover, served in bowl form, is a standout dish. Packed with flavors and hearty ingredients, it's a satisfying choice that never disappoints. With its welcoming atmosphere and delicious offerings, El Huevo Mexi-Diner is a must-visit spot for breakfast lovers in Norman.
