I recently came home from a trip in Bermuda and asked the bartender to make me a 'Bermudian Rum Swizzle' and Sawan did not disappoint! He nailed it right on the pin! The food was delicious and compliments to the chef! We also indulged in their tiramisu cake as our dessert and my goodness, the flavor! So fresh! The assistant manager Kiana and the staff were amazing!. In the past, we have avoided this location as the experience was never a positive one. However, this visit was was like being in an entirely different restaurant. The interior feels fresh, the service was outstanding and the food was really good. We will definitely be returning.”

But the manager on duty was extremely kind, very professional and so personable. She clearly was trying her best during the chaos and I have to commend her for that. “This location has gone completely downhill. It's absolutely disgusting inside. All 4 garbage bins overflowed, as a result almost every table had food containers and wrappers on them. The floors were filthy, with ketchup packets, wrappers, straws under the tables. Even the kitchen floor where the food was being prepared was strewn with food.

And worse, the staff was just standing around chatting, like as if there was no work to be done. They were oblivious to the mess in their surroundings.

Obviously, management has lost all discipline here. Corporate needs to step in and right this ship.”

“it was a positive and negative first visit. lovely placed when we showed up. order was taken within a couple minutes. half hour later, not seeing our waitress the whole time, had to ask the other one if she could see what was going on with our order. she immediately seated us at a better order and took our order again. the original waitress then came over interrogating us on whether we just made a whole different order. I explained the situation. she read what she thought was our order, and it wasn't. when she finally came back with our food she claimed the order ticket had fallen on the ground. no apologies, simply excuse after excuse. even after all that, something as simple as she didn't bring the gravy yet also charged for that. I would recommend to the kitchen to put the fruit in a bowl as it made a plate full of liquid under the rest of my breakfast. the food was absolutely delicious and the one waitress was very helpful. but I probably won't return after this experience. hoping it's just a one off bad day”

Easy online ordering followed by a courtesy call to confirm the order and pick up details. Food was ready on time and packaged perfectly. They brought everything out to my car, loaded it for me, and even put the seatbelts on the stuff they put in my back seat. “I first was introduced to Val & Patsy's when they were at Pickering Flea Market. Was there every Sunday and on the way out stopped and grabbed my food. When flea market closed figured everything shut down so looked at different places. Some were so so others just ok, As I was driving I guess over a year ago on Monarch Avenue in Ajax saw a sign posted on the boulevard. When I walked in to my surprise saw Patsy. I was so glad as there are no places that I searched for held a candle to this place. Val and Patsy's don't know how do but have a unique flavor that my taste buds can't get enough. Been a loyal customer since that day found and if any of you check out not only will understand my review but bet you also will find your nook in the corner for Island Food.”

The mutton was well-marinated, cooked to perfection, and had a bold, slightly spicy flavor that really made this pizza special.
