I enjoy their vegetarian-friendly sandwiches and lattés however, their deserts just can't be beat! “1:30 on a Monday and Browns SocialHouse was PACKED, and I can see why. The food was excellent. I loved the vegetarian options and the healthy food on the menu. The restaurant light, bright and clean and the service (especially considering it was 98% full) was outstanding. Our server, Olivia, knocked it out of the park, making us feel like we were the only ones she was there to serve. Exceptional in every way. I can HIGHLY recommend Browns SocialHouse Barrhaven to anyone looking for a great place to eat.”

“Excellent Greek food. We always get the summer special and find that it’s plenty of food for 2 people. The souvlaki have big tender pieces of meat. The salad is great with their house dressing. The pita is mouthwatering. Everything is really flavourful and travels well for delivery.”

“Excellent service! Excellent food! Tried a variety of dishes with coworkers. The server suggested some dishes to try so we didn't just get butter chicken. Methi Malai chicken was my favorite, and the onion bhaji was on point, but we enjoyed all the dishes. I highly recommend Masakali and will be coming back. Only issue is the tables are a bit small when you've got a lot of plates.”

“This place is a hidden gem! I absolutely love them! But so does everyone else so be prepared to wait for their amazing sandwiches! (and trust me, it's worth the wait) My go-to obsession is the Candied Club which has chicken, candied bacon, cheese, veggies and jalapeno aoili on it. They have in-house made buns and for a long time I would get it on the white bun but I recently switched to the tomato wrap for a change and am loving that too. If you love pecan butter tarts then you'll have to grab one of those too! Also want to mention that the owners are awesome ❤️”

“BEST pizza in Ottawa IMO. The “Sweetheart” is the idyllic pepperoni pizza with a bit of added “zing”, and it’s literally perfect in every way. The Fennel & Sausage pizza was also excellent! The birthday cake was a simple but perfect dessert. Our server was so kind, and the overall time spent at Heartbreakers couldn’t have been better. Hopefully they might expand at some point-getting a reservation isn’t easy! :)”

“Can’t wait to go back. The wait was long (arrived 9am on Saturday, seated at 10) but it was 100% worth it. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. I wasn’t a huge fan of the hollandaise (it’s maybe a chipotle hollandaise, and healthier tasting and less buttery than expected) but it was still good. Loved the sides. Brussel sprouts and blueberry pancake are must haves and I’m salivating just reliving eating them. I got the veggie Benny which is on a delicious quinoa patty, with the cauliflower poutine and Brussels. “We went to the Embrun location yesterday with friends and my gosh. These are delicious burgers! Beats The Works 100% I have to be honest, when we saw another burger joint go up in Embrun we over looked it. But our friends kept talking to us about it and we all went. BEST burgers in town!! Love the creativity and flavours. I don’t even care for burgers usually…but I already have my next burger planned out!”

“Went back to Town for the first time since 2018. Food and drink is still good but I do dislike that they merged the menu with Citizen. They used to be distinct and have different reasons to dine at, now it’s basically the same restaurant that takes the best from both and removes a lot of other options. “I was very excited to see a new vegan restaurant pop up in Ottawa, and I wasn't disappointed with my experience at St. Elsewhere. The atmosphere is casual-chic and the interior is well-decorated. The menu is small but versatile, with creative twists on wholesome plant-based ingredients. In terms of the small plates, I've tried the kale salad (16$) and the blooming onion (14$). The kale salad was good but quite ordinary and lacking in the promised sausage crumbles, while the blooming onion was perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. For the main dish, I highly recommend the gnocchi with sausage and almond ricotta (26$) - the gnocchis are pillowy and soft, the almond ricotta is creamy and tangy, and the kombu sauce is quite unique. I've also had the udon carbonara (26$), which was also delicious but I prefer the gnocchi. The portion sizes are decent; they will leave you satisfied but not overly stuffed. The dishes are a bit on the pricier side but I enjoyed the upscale vegan dining experience, which is hard to come across in Ottawa. Updated from previous review on 2024-02-20”
