“I am not from here (Scarborough) but I heard about this pizza place. It DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. I ordered close to closing (I know) and Brian assured me that it was fine. It was ready exactly when he said it was and sooooo delicious. I don't know if it's the dough or sauce...it has a very distinct flavour. Had to have a piece for the road! Brian was so pleasant and kind. He is a real gem. If you're in the area PLEASE check out this place. You will thank yourself that you did.”

“If you’re from Port Hope or passing by this summer, this is an absolute must. Since covid Port Hope hasn’t been quite the community it used to be and through owner efforts is pulling us back together. They’re open late and have various pop-up events which is not normal for our small town and definitely appreciated. The owner came and sat down with us and had an amazing conversation about the business and their goals, he makes an effort to know his customers. If you bring your large cup back you get $2 off. This place can’t be beat and don’t miss out while it’s here!!”

“We tried cinnamon raisin sourdough bread awhile ago. Sitting with friends playing cards we devoured almost a whole small loaf save for a few pieces we sent home. A new favourite!! I love the friendly atmosphere..the chats in the lineup...trying new items...never disappointed unless they're out! A friend and I shared a chicken club sandwich..made fresh...worth the extra wait(weight!) Neither one of us finished our halves. Plus..the loaf only cost $2. Well worth the visit if you come from out of town”

“My husband and I drove from Trenton to come try out the famous donuts I’ve been hearing about from friends. Well they did not disappoint! They have the most delicious tasting donuts and treats. The prices are very reasonable and the service was great. We were greeted with pleasant smiles and they were very helpful. We highly recommend this bakery and we definitely will be making another trip out for some tasty treats!”

“We were headed up the 401 and needed a pitstop, a quick Google Search didn't identify any of your usual Chain Restaurants but then Schnitzel Shack appeared with 5 Star ratings. This amazing place with two lovely young ladies did not disappoint. Their cheerful and helpful demeanor confirmed we chose the right place. With their warning about the serving size disregarded? we ordered a Schnitzel Parm sandwich, a Schnitzel sandwich with frite sauce and a generous order of homemade fries.One word AMAZING! A massive tender and lightly crispy pork schnitzel had to be folded three times to fit on their fresh-baked bun. The taste is to die for! Their fresh-cut fries were a major treat. What is even more surprising was the value! So the next time you find yourself within 100 KMs of Port Hope, head to the Schnitzel Shack - they won't disappoint.”

“Had an amazing experience at this location tonight! Christin was our server, and I could not have asked for a better person to help us! She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kept our bread and drinks full at all times, even dropping off new drinks without asking when she noticed ours getting low! Would absolutely recommend this location from this experience alone. This was the best service and overall experience I have EVER had anywhere! If you get Christin you will definitely leave happy and wanting to return!”

“Betty's pies and Tarts are addictive!! No matter who comes to Betty's they will always find something amazing to treat themselves to. May it be some amazing Tarts with a wide selection of filling; their incredible pies or mouth watering desserts. Betty's never disappoints. My favourite is the melt in your mouth strawberry rhubarb tart!! It is the perfect combination of sweet and sour without being overly sweet. This is the place to go for your sweet tooth cravings. ?Parking: The parking lot can fit about 6 cars but I never seem to have a problem finding a spot.”

“Stopped here specifically to tryout probably the most awarded butter tarts in Canada and were not disappointed.All the awards are displayed on multiple shelves and look very impressive.You can have coffee with tarts, pies or icecream right there on the spot or take them with you.We chose a mix of 6 tarts to go and every single one was extremely delightful for our tastebuds.Even if you are not a big fan of butter tarts you will probably become one after visiting this place and try those out. Can't even compare with the ones in the regular stores.Definitely a must visit in the area.Parking: Free parking in front of the store.”

“For a person who has difficulty hearing in noisy environments, The Mill can be challenging when it is busy. All exposed hard surfaces really reflect the noise. It is charming, however. I was disappointed that the Prime Rib dinner was moved to Friday, instead of the Saturday as we were there specifically for that dinner. It seems to me that Prime Rib isn't really a Friday type of dinner... I ended up having the Lamb Shank which, while tasty, was quite fatty and when the small amount of meat was taken from the huge bone, it was far less than the 16oz advertized on the menu. Too high a price for such a small meal... It appeared as though they were short of staff, but the servers who were on duty did a marvelous job and were really pleasant and efficient.”

“I have been here twice each time I have visited Port Hope and the 45-minute drive is 100% worth it.I've had the cod and the halibut I believe and both were fantastic. Whatever batter they use is crispy and light and not too oily.I also ordered the shrimp and scallops and absolutely 100% amazing, loved the cocktail sauce. It just cheers up your day.The lovely lady who has served me both times is extremely polite and very accommodating to my requests of additional tartar sauce and vinegar (she even gave me a plate to eat in my car because I was not able to dine in because of time constraints)For the price of the portion sizes are generous.”
