“We were a larger group yesterday arriving for an early lunch. We were lucky to have Riley as our waiter who we were told, was just starting out. Although I had worked as a waitress myself, and later on taught Customer Service for many years, I would not have guessed that Riley was new. He was personable, friendly and polite, quickly built rapport with all of us while ensuring that everybody's needs were taken care of in a timely manner. In addition, I noticed that Riley scanned the room at all times, as a good waiter should, but many waiters rarely do. Good luck to you, Riley, and good on you, East Side Mario's for having him on your team! We will be back for sure.“

We were warmly greeted by our waiter, Minuentak, who was brilliant in his detailed descriptions of the food,his suggestions re wine choices, including the excellent non alcoholic wine - Antelope, and his genuine attention to our well-being. The octopus, the stuffed zucchini blossoms and my choice, the thon tartare offered amazing flavours ( strawberry, ginger and oxalis) and were presented beautifully. Each dish was unique and delicious! We all had the same entrée, crevettes norvégiennes with fresh pasta, topped with trout caviar in a delicate but flavorful sauce - an original combination of textures, colours and flavors. Wow! For dessert, we shared an amazing concoction of cake, pistachios, almonds??? - Totally creative and totally delicious - a perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Le poulpe, les fleurs de courgette farcies et mon choix, le tartare de thon, offraient des saveurs incroyables (fraise, gingembre et oxalis) et étaient présentés magnifiquement. Chaque plat était unique et délicieux ! Nous avons tous pris la même entrée, des crevettes norvégiennes avec des pâtes fraîches, surmontées de caviar de truite dans une sauce délicate mais savoureuse - une combinaison originale de textures, couleurs et saveurs. We ended up waiting nearly an hour for a table, but it was honestly totally fine because the restaurant is perfectly located inside Les Promenades de l’Outaouais. We wandered around the shops, grabbed a drink, and the time flew by.
Once seated, the warm, modern Italian vibe immediately made up for the wait. The service was friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. We loved the wood-fired pizzas — crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Everything felt authentic and generously portioned.
It’s the perfect spot for a lively dinner with great food and energy. Highly recommend making a reservation if you can, but even without one, it’s worth it. We’ll definitely be back! 🇮🇹🍕“

“I had not seen my brother from another mother in almost 3 years so when he visited Ottawa this past weekend I made a dinner reservation for Sunday night. I made this reservation, partly on some reviews I had seen and having eaten the lobster ravioli previously as a takeout menu option. The restaurant is in a beautiful century home with photos adjoining the walls of all the famous politicians, musicians, and other stars from Ottawa or having eaten there while visiting the capital that have eaten there. The service was exceptional, the waiter stopped by every few minutes to top up our water or ask if we needed anything. Onto the food… We found the food to be pedestrian at Best. I would’ve rated it at 3.8 and my dinner companion at 3.4 but we do not have those options here. My lobster ravioli had a sauce that was heavy enough to anchor a boat although it offered a nice flavour pallet. His veal was similar, tender with a nice mushroom sauce however it was overly salted. I recommend this place as long as you know what you’re getting ahead of time. The prices are on the high side, but certainly not the most expensive in the Ottawa region.“

“We were visiting Ottawa from Nova Scotia over the holidays and my mom was looking for a good pasta meal. A good friend said his chef friends highly recommended Parma Ravioli. I called ahead to make sure they were going to be open and have product on the 27th. A lovely young lady took my order and was very professional in all manners of the phone call. About 5-10 minutes later she called back to confirm details on the lasagna. When we arrived to pick it up on the 27th they young lady behind the cash had the same voice and style when she talked and I asked her if she had taken our order initially. She replied that she had as her father I believe was from the Maritimes, so she remembered our conversation. I thanked her for how she had handled our initial order in todays age of lack of good service, and thanked her again once we had our order and headed out. Amazing how a small interaction which was so well done, sits with you a long time and we have been in hospitality for over 30 years. Thank you to her - I forgot to get her name - but outstanding service.“
