I went here years ago and were in the area so decided to go again it was good. But now what happened looks old and let go the food is over priced and just ok.i thought is was weird it was empty at 5pm on a Saturday night but now I know why it's sad to see this place now I enjoy it years ago too

Went to Turtle Jacks with a large group. Called ahead to have tables put together etc. Once we arrived the staff was scrambling to get the seating. When we all sat down, our waitress didn't come to our table for 15 mins. Once we gave our orders we did not see the waitress for the entire meal. Everything was cold, tasted rotten and the nachos were disgusting. Drinks were never refilled and we had to flag down another staff member to get the bill. Very disappointed, we spent over $100 and left hungry and unsatisfied.

Laziest restaurant staff in Guelph. Although not uncommon in Guelph unfortunately. It seems like no one works in this city after sunset, as if their hours don't apply to the concept of normal time but instead based on whether it's getting dark outside, like a child being called inside for dinner after playing outside all day.On Sunday to Thursday they close at 8pm, barely past dinner rush. I can accept that, it's not very smart from a business perspective but that's their choice.We Placed an order for pickup on Thursday August 31st 7:05pm , a full hour before the kitchen closes at 8. The person in charge of orders that night must have been in a hurry to leave or forgot to change their clocks at daylight savings because they ended up canceling our order at 7:30. Why work till 8 when you can work till 7 and get paid for leaving early.Who ever owns this location should not be running a restaurant.Not sure who would want to purchase a restaurant franchise location with the single goal in mind of making no money. And sadly this is not the fist time it's happened at this location. This is the 3rd time it's happened in a row, normally I wouldn't bother complaining but they just deserve to go out of business at this point.If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would, because tenichally I can't rate the food or service as I've yet to actually try it. Maybe when im 90 years old and start eating dinner at 5pm, Ill get to eat here.If you're thinking to yourself "not a big deal, I'll just call to ask if their kitchen is still taking orders and order over the Phone and save myself the headache of not knowing if I'm going to actually eat or not."- don't even bother because i thought of thay already they don't answer the phone either, definitely not after dark. God forbid.0 Stars is my official rating.

My experience was absolutely terrible. Our food was cold, dry, Absolutely no flavor. I would not recommend this restaurant. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting as well as the rest of the restaurant being very dirty. Very, very disappointed.

Came here on a Sunday evening completely empty only 3 people in. Food was alrightThe one issue woth this place is it needs a facelift. U can see dead flies on the window ledges. It made me question the hygiene of the kitchen.There was about 5 people who walked in and walked right outProbally won’t be back again.

We had lunch on the patio at the Guelph location. The food was mediocre. The 'aus jus' for our French Dip was tasteless brown water. The service was very good. We used the bathroom facilities after our meal. Had we used them before, we would definitely NOT have eaten there. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. Most of the stalls were out of order and it was grossly dirty. If that's the state of what the public can see, can you imagine what the kitchen looks like!!

Not sure how this place hasn’t shut down yet. 1 server working during the time I dined in and looked miserable working. Can’t imagine juggling an entire restaurant on my own. Came for food, but decided against it because the last thing I wanted was to be disappointed by my meal. Place is messy and dirty. Bar looks like it hasn’t been wiped down in months. Outdoor patio looked sad, no lights, no decor. Inside seating was worse, completely no atmosphere. Don’t get me started on the washrooms. Ladies washroom had 3 out of door stalls, one of the sinks is missing.. there was paper towels all over the washroom floor. Clearly nobody has done a washroom check on the floor. HUGE health and safety concern. This place should not be operating under any of these conditions. New ownership, and staff is needed, although I recommend the place shuts down entirely.
My friend and I ate here today and the service was so poor, I had to get my own ketchup because as I was trying to get the servers attention for about 10 mins, she totally ignored us she was watching some lady mop the floors, she also didn't once come to see how we were doing and we were there for at least a half hr . I confronted her and told her how poorly I thought of her customer service was. And by the way there were only maybe 3 tables in use so there is no excuse for her not to come check in on us. I also had to get her attention for a To go box and she almost took my friends plate away while she was finishing her fries. Not impressed for the amount we were paying for. And I forgot to mention the window ledges were so gross dirty

Haven't been to this location in several years... Beforehand we used to regularly grab dinner here before catching a movie. I'm so sad to say that it's gone extremely downhill. The place is poorly kept. The woman's washroom had 3 out of service toilets, one out of service sink. There was wallpaper coming off the walls. The floors were filthy. There was next to no one in the establishment at dinner time, and I guess we found out why. The food was okay, but overall disappointed and not too keen to return. Unfortunately this is the closest location to me since the Kitchener one shut down, but I guess I'll be going to Hamilton for my TJ fix... Hopefully the owner or management can at least try to take a little pride in the place.

Thanks to the girl working behind the bar for cancelling the order and offering no apologies and looking annoyed when I showed up to pick up my food. If the actual owner reads these things, why don’t you try hiring staff that actually want to work at your establishment. First and last time trying to support local.

One of our 6 people didn't get served when the rest of us did, even though she had the same meal as others at the table. The portion sizes were average and the food was just ok.The washrooms were in bad repair, out of order signs on sinks and stall doors. Toilets were caked with brown stuff, looking as though they are not washed enough.
