August 8 on Upper James St was once a very good place to go for sushi. Loved the food and the vast selection . All at very reasonable prices. The service was very good, a sushi restaurant that I remember well. A sushi restaurant I will recommend without a second thought. It's too bad that it burned down almost a year ago, with no sign of it being repair or even to be rebuilt.

August 8 is always the greatest sushi dining experience! This location is beautiful. Everything is fresh, LOVE their green salad. Great staff and daily special drinks are good too!

They decorated forHalloween which was nice, not over done,the service was excellent, especially the the host.The food came out too quickly and our table became cluttered, a not a very nice atmosphere.Overall it the ? was delicious, and the meat dishes my friend said was superb.

Nice open layout, digital menu was easy to navigate, service was prompt and friendly. My server Shawn was great. Nice way to do an all you can eat dining experience without the massive waste. A bit spendy for a regular lunch option but for a treat it was well worth it. I'm not from Hamilton (visiting for an appointment) but hope to find a location up in the Guelph area.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not in a chair but do walk with a cane. Handicap spots right at the door with handy small ramp. Everything else at the level.

Been here only a couple of times, but it's a great spot for a quick date night. For AYCE it's definitely worth the price! Lots of parking too and the staff were all super friendly.The sashimi quality is pretty good and everything including their drinks taste great. Overall a great experience! Will definitely be coming back.

Went for lunch and was seated right away. It's been a while since I was here last and they have updated the ordering menu on the iPads at the table. It's easy to navigate and select what you want. All the food arrived hot and fresh. Everything I had tasted really good. The service was also excellent. Definitely recommend.

We went here like four times already for the “eat all you can”… so pricey but yes it’s worth it. Before the sashimi was included on the menu but the last time it was not. & also the king roll. I love their sushis! The staff are nice & friendly. The ambiance is good but noisy maybe because it’s always full with people.
Had a really good experience at the Upper James location. We took my daughter there for her birthday and I’m happy we did. It was our first time there and I have to say I will be coming back. The food was delicious across the board. The variety was good. Our son isn’t a fan of fish or sushi but the chicken and steak was more than enough to keep him happy. He actually said it was the best chicken he had. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was due to the issue of not getting everything we ordered . We did the all you can eat and ordered it through an iPad. We found that we had to reorder or we wouldn’t get it. It’s a Minor thing . Looking forward to our next trip there!

Delicious collection. Wonderful service!Just keep in mind, if you are going there past 3:30, you will be charged for dinner not lunch since you are allowed to stay there upto 2 hours, which which is consequently dinner time. But they were clear about it and gave us the option to proceed or leave!

We used to get sushi from up the road...you know the place. We found this place to be consistently cleaner and more pleasant to go to. The take out is packed with care, although the new paper boxes for a "boat-load" is a bad idea. The fresh food is usually moist and softens the box, although in the end, its just the delivery system and food is still amazing!!

Service was really good and the waiters were very nice and helpful. We went on a Friday evening for the all you can eat buffet and it was $40.99 per person. Try to book a reservation, so that you don’t have to wait in line.
