Order for delivery today at 500 pm still hasn’t been delivered at 6pm and he will not answer any messages or phone calls. This is the second time we tried him, last time (over a year ago)it showed up super late and cold and the wrong food, thought we would try again nope, terrible customer service! And it was paid for already!

Mohamed Mukhtar from Falafel Papi and @madefreshbypapi on instagram is the biggest scammer out there. He has an excuse for absolutely everything on why he can't give you your money back. You can read the reviews below.Do not trust him with a dime and avoid this fraud at all costs.

I decided to write this review as it seems from other reviews that this is not an isolated experience I had.2 months ago after seeing many social media and newspaper endorsements for this business, I decided to contact Mohamed to do a custom catering menu for my baby shower at the end of August. He promptly replied and we were able to agree on a menu and pricing that same day. He requested payment in full to guarantee the order as it was his busy time. It was no problem as he was very responsive and easy to work with, so payment was issued that same day.Fast forward to 2 days before the event, I contacted him to make sure all was well for the event and he scheduled a phone call with me do go over everything. We agreed on a time and this is when the first red flag presented itself as he never called and never sent a text to reschedule. I followed up and we rescheduled for the next day and yet again the time came and went and no call. I followed up again and finally received a call in which I had to reconfirm the delivery address, time of event and menu by text.On the day of the event he stated that the delivery was going to be 10 mins later than the agreed time but it was actually half an hour late. When the food did arrive only half of my menu came and he stated his other driver was in an accident and he was going to collect the rest of the food and bring it to the event. I said ok as it was an unfortunate situation and i kept in contact with him. within the next 2 hours he kept telling me that a driver was on his way, even sent me a drivers name and type of vehicle to look out for. Needless to say no one ever showed up with the remaining food. I was left with nothing to serve half of my guest at my BABY SHOWER and no dessert as this was also through him.After my event I immediately followed up with him via text stating the items I did not received and he said he will issue a 50% refund within 24 hours for the inconvenience. After 24 hours no refund was received and I followed up and it has been a series of excuses and failed promises. He states it will come in 3-5 business days but in the same breath tells me to expect it that same evening.He has been making numerous excuses and saying the situation is because of personal life events and his wife controls the money and she will get to it. I have since decided to take the next steps and contact Consumer Protection Ontario.I love to support small local business and this experience has left nothing but a sour taste in my mouth. I hope no one else has to face this... especially at 8 months pregnant !

Simply put, it’s delicious gluten free food. Order pick up was seamless and enjoyable and the food was tasty as ever. Particularly impressed by the foods ordered that I don’t eat, but sampled - that turned out to be my favourite. Perfectly spiced.Vegetarian options: Yummy falafel option and I have to say, that is the creamiest texture in a hummus I have ever had. Well done.Dietary restrictions: I’m not personally gluten free, but with this food you’re not missing anything!

Mohamed makes the best falafels & hummus…so yummy!!!Vegetarian options: The best!!!
We ordered the New Year Eve special. We received 5 falafel, no fried chicken and no hummus. Very sad! We had to scramble to cook for our guests as we never received our full order. We are still waiting our refund. So disappointed as we have supported you from day one and always recommended you to others in the celiac community!

Falafel Papi’s food is amazing! I got chicken shawarma with fatoush salad and a shawarma pizza which were both delicious. My sister can’t have gluten and Mohamed confirmed that his food is 100% gluten free. Not only is the food terrific but he is a super kind person as well! Will definitely be ordering again. Thank you, Falafel Papi!

Simply put, Falafel Papi nailed it. Not only are they providing gluten free options, they're doing so with food that tastes amazing with everything from Shawarma fries, cheesesteaks, chicken tenders and PLEASE do not forget that euphoric hummus. Give this place a try and o promise you will not be disappointed.
