My first visit to the Old King Bistro this morning in a party of four. I was tempted by the Chicken & Waffles with Sriracha maple syrup, and it was very tasty. I nice delayed kick on the front of my tongue from the syrup. The chicken was lightly breaded and very juicy. I was a bit disappointed with the Belgian waffle; it was overly crispy, so didn't absorb the syrup well, and it broke into smaller bits when I cut it with my knife. Nice fresh food, excellent service. Our server was happy and looked like she loved her job and was proud of what she was doing and the resto.The owner came out a couple of times to check that everything was ok.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Staff is friendly and the checking up on vaccinations was very politely done. Was made to feel very welcomed. Small and cozy spot with nice background music being played. It was also nice to see a keto offering right on the menu. So why did I deduct stars? Service was slow and the food was too bland for my taste. Still, bacon was done quite well, nice and crispy and avocado slices were nice and fresh. Probably wouldn't return but all in it was ok.
