My first visit to the Old King Bistro this morning in a party of four. I was tempted by the Chicken & Waffles with Sriracha maple syrup, and it was very tasty. I nice delayed kick on the front of my tongue from the syrup. The chicken was lightly breaded and very juicy. I was a bit disappointed with the Belgian waffle; it was overly crispy, so didn't absorb the syrup well, and it broke into smaller bits when I cut it with my knife. Still, the overall presentation was nice and it was flavourful. There was a tasteful stream of soft jazz music playing in the background and the staff were both friendly and attentive. A great discovery and definitely worth visiting again!

Nice fresh food, excellent service. Our server was happy and looked like she loved her job and was proud of what she was doing and the resto.The owner came out a couple of times to check that everything was ok.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Staff is friendly and the checking up on vaccinations was very politely done. Was made to feel very welcomed. Small and cozy spot with nice background music being played. It was also nice to see a keto offering right on the menu. So why did I deduct stars? Service was slow and the food was too bland for my taste. Still, bacon was done quite well, nice and crispy and avocado slices were nice and fresh. Probably wouldn't return but all in it was ok.

A really nice and cozy place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Tried their chicken on waffles and was quite happy with the taste. It comes with a sriracha maple syrup sauce which has a nice kick to it. Will be visiting again next weekend probably.

They were doing remote ordering only but the owner came up to take our order anyway. Good start. Then he gave us some extra water because we were going kayaking. And the food was delicious! Highly Recommended!

I'm not a fan of 5 star reviews very often as I think most places have something they could prove on. However, I cannot speak highly enough of this place. In the 3 years we've been going here, not once have we had bad food, or for that matter just good food. It's ALWAYS exceptional.The service is top notch, it's cozy, foods great, price is right. What more could you ask for?

Ordered the avocado bacon benny for takeout along with a classic majesty breakfast. Hollandaise was fantastic and the breakfast overall was delicious! Will definitely order again!
