Mai's Café & Bistro Reviews
Excellent!!
I asked for her most popular dish, I bought the red beef curry at $15.99 and it was not curry. It was more like soup. It wasn’t worth $15.99. It didn’t even taste Thai. I could get better Thai at a food court for $8.99. I mentioned my concerns to the owner. She said to come back on the next Tuesday to receive a refund. I came into town and the store was actually closed on the Tuesday she told me to return. It was an awful experience.
We love this place!! We used to go all the time when we lived in Wortley, for the best pad Thai in London and their fresh rolls!!! And for an awesome breakfast!!Mmmmmmm!!! We went today after quite a few months and I remembered all the things I love about this place!! These ladies are sweet as pie and they make each client feel welcome and valued!! Can’t say enough about Mai’s!!

Mai's Café & Bistro is a charming downtown spot serving up fresh and authentic dishes. With attentive service, diners can expect a lovely time. The café offers a quaint atmosphere, cleanliness, and beautifully presented meals. Must-try dishes include the mango salad, pad Thai, and the amazing coconut chicken soup. Prices are fair, making it a great value. The food quality and quantity are phenomenal, with vegetables cooked to perfection and well-balanced sauces. This hidden gem is a must-visit for those who enjoy fresh, spicy food. It has become a favorite for many, and the cozy atmosphere adds to its appeal.
The portions are more than enough, and the food overall tastes great. Customers have visited around noon and found themselves to be the only ones dining, with the staff checking in frequently. The prices are very reasonable, and the neighborhood is very nice.
Customers recommend the shrimp fried rice, though the vegetables could be cooked more to personal preference. The Freddy told and red curry fish were also delicious, and the Tom Ka soup is a must-try. The service and atmosphere are great, and the restaurant is highly recommended, especially for those with dietary restrictions, as they are very careful about allergies.
