I’ve never had an issue with this location before but I went this last Friday and was disappointed with the service.
I was seeing a movie at 11am so I wanted to see if the food court was open about 20mins before and Thai Express and all the other restaurants were open in the food court. I believe they open at 10:30am?
The staff was obviously still setting up so I didn’t mind if they took longer to prepare the food, but the staff didn’t seem fully into their shift yet.

Rui and the Chef.
For anyone reading this Rui and the chef were an absolute delight. It was around 8pm, and the staff here were incredibly busy, none-stop all day, and it was HOT. 38 with humidity today outside and you could tell it was HOT behind that oven. Non-stop cooking. You could also tell these folks have worked hard all day, and it showed. Even in the midst of working with all that heat, and the continuous like of patrons, Rui was still an absolute pleasure. I recently visited Thai Express in CF Masonville Mall, located in the food court, and had a great experience. I ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice with beef to go, and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and satisfying.
