I was pleased with the staff. Our waiter was just awesome. The meal my wife had looked great and was-fantastic. Same with other meals that were served at the table. I ordered the gnocchi and was not impressed. I’m not going to go into detail but it was not enjoyable.If you wanna a have a real unforgettable plate of gnocchi check out pasqualino’s in Milton. Then tell me I’m wrongOverall I will return to mikes back door for another meal but it won’t be for a plate of pasta.

This might be the only Italian restaurant I would go back to. Most Italian restaurants I dined at have been bland and basic, but this place is an exception.The man who served us was able to answer our questions about the menu. He paid attention to detail and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Amazing service. There were little things about the restaurant that made a good impression on us like the cute lamp on the table, and the top of of bread and butter. Don't skip out on the dessert menu, it is to die for!

Michael’s Back Door never disappoints. The ambiance, food and service is amazing. We have held all of our smaller events here for the last 30 years and have always been completely beyond satisfied. It’s also our favourite dining spot. Michael is absolutely wonderful and accommodating and so was his wonderful father. Best Italian food in the GTA.

We had an amazing experience at Michael's Back Door Restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we received a friendly and welcoming greeting from one of the owners who offered to take care of our coats. Our server Sean was outstanding; he took care of every detail from start to finish. The service was prompt, but not rushed at all. The wine list is fantastic, the food was delicious and the portions were generous. The prices are very reasonable given you receive a high quality meal and outstanding service. We will definitely be back. Thank you Michael's Back Door for a wonderful evening.

The food was very nice, nothing special but it's nice they change the menu every so often. We went for valentine's day and there were three options each for appetizer, main and dessert. I had linguine for the main and Affogato for dessert. Too much sauce and a really big portion for the linguine, and the Affogato was pord for me, like everything else. My favourite part was the service. The sour apple martini was good too. We got seated by the window so it was a little chilly. Overall, it's super overrated but the dining service is an experience.

We went for dinner on Valentine day dinner. Shaun went above and beyond to accommodate our request for menu that was not on the special Valentine's Day dinner menu. He also did a great job of selecting a perfect wine. We were not hurried and food was delicious.The only thing that could have improved is the portion. We were told we would be served 8 lamb chops but the actual served was six. Only green beans were served as veggies. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this as it was not on their menu, and they did it for us.This is 3rd time, I have gone there and have been very impressed everytime. We will go again for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Went for our Anniversary and had a wonderful time. Our Server, Joseph, did a fantastic job looking after us. The food was delicious and we will be coming back.
Fantastic night for our big party .. only one negative is that for a big party upstairs there should be a washroom available upstairs..not sure why you can't figure that one out.
