“Tasty favourful Chongqing noodles - soup or dry!!If you’re looking for an off the beaten path Chinese noodle house then this is your place! Flavourful, spicy, pungent and very filling. Best choice is the Noodle Soup with beef, pork intestines, ground pork & yellow peas. Chongqing cuisine is a branch of Sichuan Cuisine (one of eight Chinese Cuisines) featuring pungent and spicy flavours as a result of liberal use of garlic, chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorn, beans, mustard and sesame paste.Reasonably priced.Owners are very nice people. If you’re looking for tasty spicy Chinese noodles then this is the place in Ottawa!!Chongqing Dishes is a branch of Sichuan Cuisine (one of eight Chinese Cuisines) featuring pungent and spicy flavor as a result of li Chongqing Dishes is a branch of Sichuan Cuisine (one of eight Chinese Cuisines) featuring pungent and spicy flavor as a result of and other ingredients“
“We did a take-out this past week, spending over 140$. I found that their Pad-Si-ew was quite bland. Pad Kee Maow was also bland (for a dish that costs over $23) was a bit disappointing. I am not sure that I would say this was truly authentic Thai cuisine either. The veggie stir-fry was also so-so and costs over $22. These prices were for the dinner menu. I find them overpriced as per quality. I lived in Thailand for a few years and I have been to many restaurants in Toronto, Montreal. Unfortunately, I think Thai Flame is overrated (4.6 out of 5)??? You might still find a dish that you like, but too pricey for what it is.“
“During Ramadan, my favorite dish is Haleem, and I was wondering where I could find some. Biryani Walla came through for me once again, offering one of the best Haleems I've had, Initially, I was curious if it would match the authentic style. The dish was generously laden with Ghee, enhancing its flavor beautifully. We indulged in both Chicken and Mutton Haleem, and though both were delicious, Mutton Haleem truly exceeded my expectations.“
“Good Vietnamese food that fulfilled my Vietnamese cravings. Soup broth was nice and salty. Super flavorful broth that is usually associated with traditional pho. Noodles were nice and springy. Meatballs had nice chew. The portion was also huge and it was quite a struggle to finish a bowl on my own. Service was a bit weird. Overall, server was super friendly but for some reason, we wrote down our own orders instead of her taking the order for us.Good Vietnamese food; nice owner. Get it if you want Vietnamese food.“
“Tried the hot soy garlic chicken and yang nyeom fried chicken tasted great! Friendly service. Went for takeout and waited for 25 minutes before picking up which is standard for all korean fried chicken joints out there. The spicy rice cake was good too. Taste is the same as the dakgogi in Toronto.“
“"Recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho by Night, and it was an unforgettable experience. As a lover of both Pho and vegetarian cuisine, I was thrilled to discover a place that combines the best of both worlds. From the moment I stepped in, the cozy ambiance and warm welcome made me feel right at home. The menu, brimming with vegetarian options, offered a refreshing take on traditional Pho, each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.“
“I like the open kitchen concept, you can see that they keep it clean. Service was excellent. Clearly a family run business, they were very polite and checked in often. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. They serve halal options. A little pricey. Won’t be rushing to go back.“
“There are so many options to make your own noodle soup. You get a bowl and load up your ingredients and at the register you pay by weight. Many ingredients are like hotpot ingredients but some I have never seen before so that's very interesting. I kind of over did it and ended up paying over $40 for myself and took home leftovers. Service was great - helpful and fast. Atmosphere is bright and clean - would take someone here for a date.“
“We saw this place and decided to give it a try, our first time trying this cuisine. We ordered Schezuan Chicken and Special Lamb Skewers. These were very delicious and juicy. We also ordered a Spicy and Sour base soup with Orleans Chicken and this was so flavourful with the perfect spice level. Keep in mind the Mild is pretty spicy to begin with.Thw service was impressive and fast. We are pleasantly surprised and would definitely be a regular.“
“This place is a blast from the past vibe-wise paired with what feels a carefully toned down take on Canadian-Chinese takeout food. The flavours all around lack that bitey high sugar content that you would expect from most of these places -- making it much more approachable to those that would otherwise avoid this type of menu, including those who are more familiar with mainland Chinese food. The textures were quite good compared to typical small town fare as well. The western menu is solid if a little bit less inspired. Our highlight out of it is all of the ice cream, which is very basic but continues with the general theme of the menu having what feels like 50% of the sugar cut out of it to make it much more palatable.Don't get me wrong this is still junky take-out food in all the ways that you want, but those who know the proverb will know what I mean when I say..."Not too sweet."Kid-friendliness: There are several play-place structures.“
“Was recently in Ottawa for a tournament and had heard about Caden's. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and helpful when it came to ordering the food. Highly recommend going here and if ever I'm back there I'll go again.“
“Really enjoyed spending time here. I had a few hours to spend while my significant other was at a private seminar. So I came here had some food and a coffee and hung out and read and did some writing. Very pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was super nice.“
“Good is often prepared quite quickly and the quality is excellent. We have had a few issues with items missing from mobile orders but it is not a persistent problem. Otherwise the staff are friendly and the experiences of ordering and/or eating there have been very pleasant.“
“Quiet and cute little place with great food.Would recommend as go to vietnamese food.Parking: Shared parking with nearby businesses which is limited in spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking available with direct access to the sidewalk and the restaurant.“
“Everything was amazing! Went with some coworkers while on a work trip and their menu had so many options we took forever to decide. We all loved the food and service so much that we went back the next night with a larger group. Everyone loved their food and the service is wonderful! I got the birria tacos one night and the salmon and seafood linguini the next. Both were incredible. A couple coworkers got the heirloom salad and said it was really good also! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Ottawa!“
“First time I’ve been here. I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this place. I got the “stuff yer face” my girlfriend got a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were hands down the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. Also got the cookies, fantastic as well. Chewy and delicious. Will definitely be back. Customers for life now. Even if you aren’t close, it’s worth the drive. The bread alone is to die for. Highly recommend the jalapeño cheese bun. Thank you shortys, you’re amazing!“
