We like the food here but no service! We waited for half an hour and the food still didn’t come. And found out that they haven’t send the order to kitchen…

We were lucky enough to be invited to Crown Prince last night for a fabulous banquet. Most of the reviews focus on the dim sum when Crown Prince is jammed. On a Wednesday night the service and food were fabulous. The event was a friend's celebration of his starting a new and exciting career. We must have been 30+ extended family and friends. There were separate tables for the teenagers, the elders, and the friends. Once the food started appearing it did not stop. There must have been 10 courses: pork, soup, beef, sea cucumber, sea bass (terrific!), chicken , lobster , rice or noodles, cold dessert soup made with papaya and finally two desserts -- pastry with red bean paste and a coconut gelatin with red beans. (I apologize for not remembering the correct names. Plus I may have forgotten a course or two.) The food was fabulous. I was at a Spring Festival dinner at a restaurant in Atlanta a few weeks ago and there's no comparison. The Atlanta restaurant was like a youth hockey team compared to Crown Prince's NHL pros. Bottom line: Crown Prince is way more than dim sum. Don't miss it.

We came here around 11:30AM on Family Day - our mistake - it seemed to be the busiest time of day, and we weren't seated until around 1:15PM. The waiting process seemed somewhat organized (ask for a number and you'll be slotted in sequence), but the hostess was also helping with the wait staff, so her focus wasn't always at front of house. Service was quite fast once we sat down. I particularly enjoyed their steamed dumplings and beef ribs. For four people, we spent around $120, which is reasonable for dim sum. The decor is interestingly grandiose, with large chandeliers and paintings lining each wall. I can see why this restaurant is so popular. Would potentially return to try their dinner menu (but definitely with a reservation).

Grand and opulent dining hall with tons of tables was a great atmosphere for a dimsum meal with friends. Price was fantastic, food came out hot and delicious.Definitely get the Siu Mai in Sichuan sauce.

Really excellent place for group dinner. The decor inside is quite over the top with pictures of Napoleon on two walls, Corinthian columns in the interior and chandeliers. Th wait staff was super attentive as well ... multiple instances of tea pouring even when we had the teapots at the table. The Peking duck was super solid, with some crunchy bits that you can put in the wrapper. The duck was cooked nicely and they also provide the duck meat and bones with a yam potato. The pumpkin seafood soup was nice; the seafood was not too tough. The lamb pot was cooked over a flame provided. The lamb pieces were succulent and accompanied by dried tofu skin with other types of accompaniments like green onion and a very flavorful broth. The lobster was really interesting; it was cooked with salty egg covering the lobster pieces and shells. In addition to providing a unique flavor, it allowed the lobster to not get overcooked. The cook on the lobster was perfect. Also really interesting was the stir fried cuttlefish and dried squid. The textures on these were really nice as well. I also appreciate that this issue was a tad spicier than many of the others. The scallops were nicely cooked, accompanied by a medley of vegetables. They were also thick as well which was much appreciated. The goose palm [feet] were really tender and doused in a gentle sauce that allowed the texture of the feet to shine. The running chicken soaked in a dried scallop brine was particularly flavorful. The meat was tender all around and the skin had nice coloration. The bok choy hearts were more ordinary but they worked well to balance out the complexity of the rest of the meal. The braised egg flat noodle was perhaps too ordinary ... the ginger and scallion flavor could have come out a bit more. The mango jello dessert, the sesame cookie, and the pumpkin sago soup were all nice sweets to end the meal.

If you don't have a reservation, you don't go. The three of us arrived at 11:17 in the morning and got the number 27. At that time, the number was called 18. An hour later, the number was only called 20. It turns out that as long as there is a reservation, they will be arranged immediately no matter when they make the reservation and when they come, but the staff will not tell you, so you will just wait stupidly. If I hadn't found out, I don't know how long I would have to wait, because I don't know how many people had already booked a table and were scheduled in front of me while I was waiting.Queuing for morning tea is normal, but such an unreasonable wait for the first time. If your reservation has reached the saturation limit, please do not receive non-reservation guests, or at least inform them in advance instead of waiting for an hour like us. I decided to change places when I had no chance of seeing him again.

Heard good things about this restaurant but was disappointed. They first asked if I wanted tea when seated and I said no tea thank you. On the bill they still charged me $5 for Tea, and when I told the waitress she said it's just called Tea on the bill but it's all included for the table, tea and water. How is there a flat charge of $5 just to be seated and have water. Food was average. Ended up paying around $50 for 4 items plus "tea" that I didn't even order.

I went to have morning tea with my friends on February 2nd, and while paying the bill, I bought rice cakes from the store. When I took out the New Year's Eve dinner on the 9th, I found that there were mold spots in two or three places. It was so frustrating. ?
