I ordered a soup and sandwich today thru Uber. The restaurant called me but I missed the call. When the food arrived, I found they had added an extra bowl of soup because the soup I originally ordered had run out along with a hand written note explaining the situation. I was really touched by this and it's a level of customer service I don't see anymore. Food was delicious and I will be a repeat customer.

Coffee was surprisingly smooth for self-serve coffee in those thermos-y things, croissant was average and ok. VERY clean place. A no personality kind of spot. Not a lot of variety vis a vis baked goods. Fairly empty inside. It's in the building occupied by Nestlé corporate.

I've always been a huge fan of Java Joe's, and today was my first visit to the location at 25 Sheppard Avenue West. The location is lovely! I say out in the main lobby, there is water flowing, it's bright, airy, and there is room for me to get some work done while I enjoy a fantastic cup of java. The coffee at Java Joe's is so very underrated. I've never had a bad cup. Even flavoured coffee, which I prefer, is tasty, but not chemically, or tastes too weak or too strong. I came for the coffee but I'm totally having lunch here. The problem is what to choose. They have healthy food, tasty food and food that is visually appealing. They don't scrimp on portions and the food tastes as good as it smells. Yum. If you're a fan of flavoured coffee or just want a really delicious cup of java, then this is the place.
