“I’ve had my eyes on this place for a while now, but never had the chance to try their delicious desserts. They specialize in original soufflé cheesecake and basque burnt top cheesecake. They have recently partnered up with Balzac’s Coffee and offer their coffees.

They have cute and small cafe with a few chairs available inside and 2 tables outside. We ordered “Matcha Cloud Tiramisu”in a cup. It was soft and fluffy. Not too sweet which was great.”

“I went to Laylak for the first time over the weekend for a birthday celebration. From the moment I was seated, our waiter, Mo, was taking care of everything. The attention given by him was top notch. The restaurant is beautifully designed. The vibe was very mellow/cozy. We ordered the Ramadan chef special. The order started with a generous trio of dips, salad and appetizers. All of which were very fresh and tasty. The mains were kebabs of lamb, chicken and beef which were all perfectly seasoned. For dessert we had a pudding infused with rose water. I would definitely recommend this place.”

The service was awesome too—friendly and super welcoming. I’m already planning to come back with friends and family so they can see what they’ve been missing. “The Tim Hortons I wanted to comment on doesn’t have a Facebook like page. It’s down the street. The esso gas station off of burloak and harvester. I am a regular customer, I come in every single morning at 5-5:30am. The staff is seriously fantastic! The manger there, or supervisor (not sure what role she plays) I believe her name it Katrina or kate. Every morning she greets me and wishes me the best day at work. I came in Friday and I had gone to a different Tim’s the day before and I had my whole order wrong. She happily replaced it and apologized on behalf of Tim Hortons that my order was wrong! I look forward to seeing her every morning, she always has a smile on her face, and a positive attitude (which is hard to find in management staff sometimes). Theirs always a full display of good treats, and all the staff is always motivated to help you with your order! Just wanted to share! Sometimes good people need the recognition they deserve!”

“Since coming to Canada, this is the second time I am writing a review for a Tim Hortons.

I don’t remember the exact date, but my wife accidentally forgot her small wallet somewhere. It contained her credit cards and driver’s license. That day, the only place she had visited was Tim Hortons. She immediately returned there, and they checked the security camera footage for the times she was in the store, but unfortunately nothing conclusive could be seen. As a result, we cancelled all the cards and applied for a replacement driver’s license.

Ten days later, a kind lady came to our door. I prefer not to mention her name, but she explained that she is the owner of this Tim Hortons location. She told us that the wallet had been in her possession for 10 days, kept safely in case someone came to claim it. When no one did, she became concerned and decided to open the wallet. After seeing the driver’s license, she personally came to our home using the address on it to return it. She also explained that the reason she waited for 10 days was because she did not want to open the wallet or even look inside it.

First of all, I am very grateful to the people of Oakville for finding the wallet—perhaps a staff member found it and responsibly handed it over to the business owner—and to this wonderful lady, who kindly brought it all the way to our home.

Seeing that there are still kind, honest, and good-hearted people in Canada truly makes me very happy.

Sue our server she is great always smiling laughing and making you fell warm and relaxed a great place to eat atmosphere is wonderful. Sue makes you feel like you’re part of a family. She know how we have our coffees and has them ready when we walk in the door. She is an outgoing person with a personality to match. I believe she should get an award for best waitress of the year. I go there twice a week when I know her schedule is just to say hi and feel appreciated as a customer as she is more then just a waitress to me she is a friend with a smile that makes your day. XIII Restaurant completely exceeded my expectations. Everything from the ambiance to the service and food was next level. The moment I walked in, I could tell this place takes pride in every detail.

A huge shoutout to Jaz, our waiter, who made the entire experience feel personal and effortless. Their energy, timing, and genuine care were top notch, the kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again.

“The burgers are all inspired by the classic fast food burgers we're familiar with. But we found them more tasty and more filling than we remember those inspirations being. The soft serve ice cream has a tangy, yogurt-esque taste to it. We enjoyed it, but be warned if you expect more traditional ice cream. Heartily recommended if you're in the mood for fast food.”

“Taza Xpress is definitely worth visiting often if you are a fan of Mediterranean food/shawarmas! The service is wonderful - staff are polite, friendly, and very professional! The food is AMAZING... you definitely get a lot of food for the price you pay. The chicken shawarma on z rocks (half rice/half fries) is a definite go-to! Overall, great restaurant with great food and great service -- 10/10 would recommend!”

“I finally got a chance to pop into Mercato and I was blown away with how amazing the food was. I tried the veggie sandwich and a slice of red pepper onion pizza and omg this is the best pizza in downtown Oakville. Maybe the best pizza EVER. Grabbed a cannoli on my way out that was also so fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back!”

“Been here a few of times thanks to a friend who organizes a ladies group each month. It’s a fun atmosphere and music bingo is always a big hit and great way to start off the work week. Even with 20+ women at our table, they manage to take care of us! This place gets 5 stars from me but I will just add that as a vegetarian, I do wish there were more options on the menu. I get the pizza every time bc nothing else really works for me. Won’t stop me from coming back! This place really does make for a fun and inviting! Highly recommend to come out and try it. They always have a great band or fun events!”
