“I’ve been going to sunset grill Oakville’s Hayes restaurant for a few years now. Sue our server she is great always smiling laughing and making you fell warm and relaxed a great place to eat atmosphere is wonderful. Sue makes you feel like you’re part of a family. She know how we have our coffees and has them ready when we walk in the door. She is an outgoing person with a personality to match. I believe she should get an award for best waitress of the year. I go there twice a week when I know her schedule is just to say hi and feel appreciated as a customer as she is more then just a waitress to me she is a friend with a smile that makes your day. Excellent portions, the sashimi is SUPER thick and delicious, and the complimentary tea pairs so well with the food. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is beautiful! This is a small place with a small staff and limited seating that can get overwhelmed easily - I am not detracting stars for this because it is not a bad thing - so please be patient if you visit! When you get there and order your food, by the time you’re finished you’re practically begging yourself to get more. The staff are really nice and friendly; the service is great. “I used to come here for wings and their other specials all the time 10 years ago when I was working in Oakville. I'm finally back and it's still as good as it was back then. I'm glad it survived COVID, I was worried it may have suffered like a lot of places did.
The bar doesn't look like it has changed at all since I had been here last, it could use a little bit of sprucing up with the booths and tables but otherwise it's great. 1/2 price wings with a beverage is a great deal, you can't beat the price! I brought a bunch of coworkers with me and we had a great time. Since then we have made it a regular thing to either come on wing night or burger night or chicken parm night and even fish night. I have never had a bad meal here, the staff is super friendly and our regular waitress knows our drink orders before we even sit down. It's nice to be considered a regular in a town that we don't actually live in.“

“We moved to Niagara about 5 years ago and have been searching for a traditional Indian restaurant to replace our beloved East India Company from Winnipeg. Nothing in the Niagara region has even come close. I am so glad that we found this restaurant. Everything was so fresh made and amazingly spiced. The naan was soooo delicious. The biryani had just the right level of heat, which was complemented by the raita. The palak paneer was smooth and tangy. The Tikka Masala was delicious, the vegetables still had a little crunch and weren't soggy. And the meat in both the biryani and the Masala were so tender. We very much look forward to coming back and enjoying again!“

The Service & Atmosphere:

The hospitality here is top-tier. The staff are attentive, polite, and demonstrate a level of service pacing that is rare these days. I particularly appreciated being asked if I was ready for my main course only after finishing my appetizer—a small but significant detail that made the meal feel relaxed rather than rushed.
The facilities were equally impressive: clean, well-stocked, and professional.

The Food
• Shrimp Cakes (9/10):
These were a highlight. Perfectly executed with a satisfying contrast between the crispy exterior and the soft, succulent interior. A tiny bit more seasoning would make these absolutely world-class, but they are already a must-order.

• Thai Spring Rolls (9/10):
You can tell the kitchen takes pride in their prep work; the vegetables were expertly and evenly cut. While the flavour was great, the filling leaned slightly toward the sweeter side, and the dipping sauce felt a bit standard compared to the high quality of the rolls themselves.

• Yellow Curry (9/10):
A very hearty and creamy dish that hit all the right comfort notes. The flavour profile was satisfying, though the chicken was a touch though. Additionally, cutting the potato pieces into more uniform, bite-sized chunks would make the dish easier to enjoy.

• Basil Chicken (9/10):
This was the standout for spice lovers. It was savoury, punchy, and perfectly balanced. It is exactly the kind of dish that reminds you why this place has stayed in business for twenty years.

“only a few tables when we entered , we sat for over 15 minutes before anyone graced us with their presence. After we were given menus, we waited again forever . we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. was given bread and salad after a while......still no drinks .Our main courses sporadically arrived, no quality check(chicken was cold) . we actually thought our server left , as she was no where in sight. the table next to us was also getting irritated as they needed to leave . we stood up after we were done to try and find our server , but ended up going to the kitchen and asking for boxes for our food. went back up to ask for our bill, someone else came over . I told her it was an awful experience, and there was no apology or question asked to why, I guess they know 🤷‍♀️. I have avoided this chain as the service was always terrible , and we thought after 4 years we would give it another go. We'll, NEVER AGAIN“
