I purchased ground meat that appeared to be fresh. However, upon arriving home, I discovered that it was brown inside, indicating a mixture of old and fresh ground meat. I won't be returning there again.

Al-Oumara Meat Shop is a very clean halal butcher in the Ottawa South area, considered by many to be the best and freshest in the city. The store has a fantastic and wide selection of fresh beef, chicken, steak, and yummy marinated meats, with clean cuts and a good variety. The owner and staff are always welcoming, friendly, nice, honest, and genuinely know their loyal customers. They are very accommodating for special orders. Many customers are regulars and highly recommend the shop. A highlight not to be missed are their delicious house-made hamburger patties and house-made burger patties, which are something you should not miss out on. The shop is highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.
