I really enjoy going here on Thursday. It's my go to place for wings and a drink. The staff here are very nice and friendly. I really enjoy the ambiance and it's a very pleasant dining experience good for small groups. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

First time to the Barley Mow on Merivale. They were able to accommodate 7 of us at 7:45 p. m. Service was great! Food was really good..we had a variety of meals .. I had fish and chips and must say the batter was light and fish was flaky, white and thick.... Haddock. The slaw was excellent. So big I had to bring half of it home. The others enjoyed their varies meals, eg. Burgers, butter chicken, chicken wrap..... They all said their meals were very tasty! And we didn't have to wait for drinks, our server checked on us all the time. Very attentive and it was packed house because it was Saturday and they had a live band that was very good. Lots of dancing going on!!! Good place to go for a fun evening!!

Great wing , drink deal. 5 of us, all had wings. 1st batch was a bit over done. Drinks were good. Meal was $95 with our tip.Wheelchair accessibility: Large wheelchair accessible washroom. MIL with a walker was happy.

The staff was quite friendly, and accommodating to a large group of people. A bunch of us from work went out from lunch. The food was excellent and very tasty and seemed like everyone else enjoyed their selection.As for the restaurant, there was a fireplace in the middle and a stage in the back. I'd guess they have live music sometimes. We were in the back room, which seemed designated for large reservations. Likely this place can be used to host events. However, that is just by observation. You would have to ask.

I went there not knowing it was trivia night on a Wednesday, and I had a good time.The food was good: deep-fried collie flower was fantastic.The calamari was decent, and the sauce was great, but the breading was average.The staff was great, some better than others. The guy running the trivia night was great.Would recommend hitting up trivia night again.Old fashioned not so great. Better bourbon selection would be nicer but overall, it's all good.

This is a great spot, the staff are friendly, the food was good and they had vegan options (a great black bean veggie burger, not the awful fake meat like Beyond Burger that some restaurants use). It wasn't very crowded, the only issue was that we went on a trivia night so kept on hearing the announcements for that. But it wasn't a big deal.
