I tried an assortment of scones, chocolate hazelnut loaf, pistachio brownie, shortbread and lemon poppyseed cookies. The scones (blueberry almond, and cheddar chive) were easily the best scones I’ve ever had. The chocolate hazelnut loaf and pistachio brownie were also very good.
What a great experience! While passing through Ottawa, I was looking for a bakery to enjoy my breakfast with my family. I was initially in a traditional French bakery nearby but the sight of the pastries quickly dissuaded me... So, I discovered "Orange Turtle Bakery" with its unbeatable reviews. I'm going there and what a discovery!!!! I went here for the first time today and absolutely loved it! Hidden little gem in Ottawa, away from the business of the Byward market (and for those who need a car to get here, there is free street parking right in front)! I tried three scones and they were delicious. Will definitely be back for more. The owner was very nice too and he even gave my dog a treat : )
