I went here for the first time today and absolutely loved it! Hidden little gem in Ottawa, away from the business of the Byward market (and for those who need a car to get here, there is free street parking right in front)! I tried three scones and they were delicious. Will definitely be back for more. The owner was very nice too and he even gave my dog a treat : )

I tried an assortment of scones, chocolate hazelnut loaf, pistachio brownie, shortbread and lemon poppyseed cookies. The scones (blueberry almond, and cheddar chive) were easily the best scones I’ve ever had. The chocolate hazelnut loaf and pistachio brownie were also very good.

What a great experience! While passing through Ottawa, I was looking for a bakery to enjoy my breakfast with my family. I was initially in a traditional French bakery nearby but the sight of the pastries quickly dissuaded me... So, I discovered "Orange Turtle Bakery" with its unbeatable reviews. I'm going there and what a discovery!!!! The reviews praise the delights there: best scones in Ottawa, best cookies and pastries, best service and... the best brownies I've ever tasted (and yet I tested and made them myself- even quite a few!) The manager is so lovely. We ended up talking about the world and literature without seeing the time pass! So yes, a great experience even though initially I was just going to get breakfast LOL :-)Result: my family had to wait a good hour before I came back with breakfast... But we all had a great time! The place to go in Ottawa, without hesitation!!!!

My friends and I discovered this wonderful bakery while visiting in Ottawa last weekend. The owner is most hospitable and kind, having offered extra baked goods to try. The coffee is fantastic as are all of the homemade backed goods, including a wonderful selection of GF items. Clean & bright natural light inside, very welcoming. Highly recommend Orange Turtle Bakery.

What a wonderful little gem in Ottawa. Don’t delay, head over to the Orange Turtle to taste the goodies. This isn’t the first time that I have been there and it won’t be the last. I had the delicious shortbread cookies that are huge! They have a « je ne sais pas quoi » about them. I can tell the fillings in them are top quality and they taste so buttery and not too sweet! There were a collection of gluten free cookies too, what a bonus. So moist and delicious! Paired with handmade fresh coffee and a chat with the friendly owner makes a pleasant experience. I did not pickup enough to bring home so will have to visit bakery again soon!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free desserts
