“Wish I could give the atmosphere and service a 10. One of the most ascetically pleasing and pleasant little coffee/botanical shop I have had the pleasure to visit. The great service can be attributed to the owner and staff; who after only a couple visits had already remembered my order and always greeted me with a “good morning and a smile,” which is on par with everybody in this lovely Town of Pakenham. Highly recommend, even if you do not drink coffee. There is something here for everyone. The shelves are filled with beautiful plants, art, artesanal goods and other pieces of interest. I promise you won’t leave empty handed and you won’t be upset about it.”

“Have driven by this place many times. finally decided to go in. So glad we did. only open on Friday and Saturday nights. Food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant itself was filled with antiques. Lovely atmosphere. Will go back again for sure.”

“My friend and I went for a late lunch yesterday on our way back from Ottawa. This was our second visit. As with our first visit, the meal did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING 👏 😋. “Cafe Postino has been our favourite restaurant for many years. The food, the atmosphere, the service have always been top notch. So it was a surprise that my husband was disappointed in his recent Sunday lunch. My husband had ordered the Gamberoni, only to find that it was mediocre in taste and not worth the price. On the other hand, I ordered the Chimera Pizza, and it was delicious. So perhaps it's time for the Gamberoni to be removed from the menu, as it doesn't seem to reach the very high level of the rest of the menu items.”

“This is a place I often come to decompress, enjoy a fog or two and watch the peeps go by in the window on the coveted green couch. The baristas are always friendly and the music is a cool mixed vibe from all genres. Their hot & cold bevies are always delicious and their baked treats mouth watering. Highly recommend OVC…just don’t take my spot on the couch 😂 Kidding…maybe lol!”

“Went to Betty’s today for the first time this season and it was just ok. The staff was very friendly but the poutine was nothing special. I had to ask for more gravy because it was bone dry, and it was $10 for a small. There were tons of wasps around the ordering window, condiments and seating area. I haven’t had the egg rolls from Golden Palace yet this season from Betty’s, but usually they’re great and I would still highly recommend those! I was just disappointed in the poutine and especially because I took someone there for the first time today and it was underwhelming. The scenic view was very nice though!”

“All food should be wrapped in plastic or in sealed case as there have been flies several times I have been there. I love this place but the flies are gross and they were landing on muffins on top of case.”

“I needed a place for some laptop work while in town on a Friday afternoon. Chicken Caesar wrap was pretty mediocre / a bit disappointing, but the Nitro Cold Brew was great, appreciate water being readily available, and staff were very kind (and I saw them extend that kindness repeatedly through customer service to those around me). I would visit again for the coffee and atmosphere.”

“This evening my wife and I went to the Lumbertown Ale House for our supper meal. It was quite possibly the best supper meal we have ever had. My wife had the pasta special and I had chicken, I forget which item on the menu but it was spectacular. The décor and general ambience were really cool – brick and rustic woods – very nice without being pretentious. The front end staff were perfect, everything about the meal was so good I asked one of the staff to hug the chef – if it wouldn’t be too weird. She came back a few minutes later laughing and said it was kinda weird but the chef got hugged. There is nothing about this evening I would change. In closing I was quite content to leave the biggest sober tip I have ever left. Absolutely worth it.”

Dietary restrictions: The kitchen has a dedicated area for making gluten free pizzas if it is for someone with celiac disease. You just need to tell them and ensure they let the cooking staff know. They take special care by using clean tools and toppings that have not been used for gluten pizzas.”
