“I don't compare Ceilito Lindo to other Mexican places. I compare it to the best of other kinds of restaurants. Not just the best Mexican food. The best food period. This is better than burgers or sandwiches.

The restaurant is very simple and in a plaza with other take outs. And this plaza has very good choices as well.

I prefer going mid week. It's quieter. On the weekends it's still very fast service. The quality and quantity the small number of staff punch out of thier tiny kitchen really speaks to their talent and love for cooking.

Most plates come with beans, salad and rice. Simple but really good. Ceilito Lindo do one thing really really well. So it's chicken, beef, shrimp or steak in a burrito, enchilada or chimichanga.

I am currently working my way through their menu. All killer no filler.

The chicken molle gets good reviews. It's a dish not seen in many places. It is excellent.”

“Went to East Side Mario's for dinner tonight and had a great dinner. Wait was only less than 5 minutes for a table. Restaurant was busy and there was a Jays game on the TV. We sat down and immediately our waitress Simone came over and greeted us and got us a drink. Then she followed up with our salad and garlic bread while we chose our pasta. Simone was friendly and very polite. A delight to talk to. Our pasta was hot and flavorful. We will definitely be back. Simone definitely knows how to take care of her guests who dine here. “Decided to give this place a try because I've been driving past it to work. Ordered the 1/4 leg and rib combo and it is fantastic. Ribs were perfect with a sauce that has the right amount of heat. Ribs and chicken are finished on the grill so the sauce caramelized properly. Generous portion of sides and the staff were friendly. I've been told that the brisket is good and based on what I had I'll be checking it out shortly.”

However ,on April 19th, I came for lunch with 2 others and the service we recieved was quite lack luster- which surprised me as it's typically top notch. The gentleman serving us seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. The dining room was not in any way busy so I'm not sure why it took so long between ordering drinks, food, and a quality check. We attempted to make some chit chat with him as it seemed like perhaps he was having a tough day and he was not at all receptive. While I will always come back for future visits, I look forward to a better experience from a different staff member.”

“Been a while since we had Subway and decided to take a gamble. First time at this location and family was shocked by the quality of the sandwich. They were handcrafted like the subs on the ads. Looked and tasted amazing. There’s a reason why it’s taken us so long to go back to a Subway. The quality has been going downhill in general and that’s the case for most locations. This one is definitely a Unicorn location. We were so impressed that our daughter wanted Subway the following day. Unfortunately we went to a different location due to our schedule and the subs were not very good. That’s a seperate review.”

“Helmand Kabob Palace has been a staple for me when in the Durham region. It’s a shame I’m only now writing a review for this gem. I’m one of the first clients to visit this restaurant as a regular from when it opened and I’ve seen it grow sooo much over the years. Till this day I religiously dine in when I have their food. My personal favourite is the Choppan Dinner. There is NO PLACE in the GTA that can top his Choppan for the quality of meat vs price. They are super generous with portions of rice and salad even when I ask for less rice, I still consider the portions to be super generous so you can imagine. You can taste the love put in to marinating and perfecting the spices for the lamb chops, never missed once, I’ve been coming religiously for 7 years now and it takes me 35 mins for just one way travel. It’s that good and worth it. There is plenty dining space inside and washroom as well. I have brought many friends over the years here and now they attend without my presence needed and that’s what it’s about. Their food will speak for itself, so if you love middle eastern food and want to try authentic Afghani cuisine, you must hit up Helmand Kabob Palace!”

They only fast food burger that might come close. Is a Harvey’s Big Angus.
But Burger Priest is a higher quality burger.
